War/Occupation Intricacy

So I'll use the current example so this is perfectly clear. I'm playing the WW2 version.

Im at war with Alabama (might be a different country Im not sure but it doesnt matter). Alabama has troops occupying provinces in Mississippi.

If I attack those provinces in Mississippi that are occupied by Alabama, will I then be at war with Mississippi also?
