I would pull your troops back to your territory on defensive stance, and change your status with AI. After a few days AI will change their status

War with AI
So I'm playing Finland and I overestimated Communist Russia's strength 
. Is there a way to end the war? Like, say, a truce?

Yeah, that works. However, when people do this on a massive scale, it gets really annoying and then they can move through AIs...
