What are the signs of dangerous players in game?

I have a question for you guys, I know gauging a player for his/her skill in game is important for waging war with them can either turn to victory or defeat. In picking an enemy or prey, how do you gauge the ability of a player and know how much percentage of your success in defeating them?

The only time France wants us to go to war is when the German Army is sitting in Paris sipping coffee.

Look at k/d vs humans and look k/d vs AI. If K/D vs AI is only a little better or even worse then K/D vs Human you know you have a weak player. But the good K/D vs Human came from other means. Look at the troop losses, good players tend to build similar units and have most losses there. All else is situational.

Apart from the usual player stats & watching losses in the news articles. . .

When you get an early agreement with a neighbour to go in different directions. You keep a few units on the border for security. Over the next few days you can see those units getting rotated and you end up with two parralell lines of damaged troops keeping watch & getting a bit of R&R.

I'd say that's time to form a Coalition. A war with that kind of neighbour is going to be bloody.

Here's a tip to scaring all of your neighbors into submission even if you're trash. Play as a nation with good steel and oil exports, then run over a communist or allied neighbor. Make sure everyone can see you are making rapid wars. Grab land from all undefended positions as much as possible, do not dig into fortified positions, and generally try to be fast (pan-asian is good for that). Then, it is enough to suggest you are experienced at the game, even if you're not ahahahahahahahahahaha. Generally, for me, I do not do allies with anyone unless i have reason to believe them (for example, as Poland, attack Germany, not try to negotiate, same for soviets (Soviets are trash at beginning due to weak border defenses)). K/D isn't really important in this game, it's just that you can win the game. I saw someone win, and came out of the round with negative ratios. However, it took 5 days for that player to win. Basically, did a stunt and took all cities of AI and players as quick as possible, I don't even think they cared that most of their mainland was taken. Long story short: ratios and wins don't necessarily mean anything, so be cautious around everyone. A nice, charming, friendly Sweden could turn out to be a traitor and aggressor who attacks all Europe and turns the tables upside down.

Yes, that is why people play Sweden, since there are two AI next to you, and you have germany on your north (don't declare war when attacking, land troops, and go in as far as possible without attacking then start taking cities, the German Navy becomes useless, ask a naval superpower for help, then you won the game.

Doing recon on other players regions and seeing these type of marks.

If his name is Brutus Trump, he’s dangerous. Seriously, the casualties in the newspaper in non-historic games are usually a good indicator.

Brutus, k/d doesn't really matter. If you have good k/d but bad province ratio, provinces are first, kills won't get you victory, provinces do. If someone busts out with wars on 7 fronts, manages to destroy the entire russian, german, and british military, then loses all provinces, their k/d becomes useless. Whereas, if someone loses 200 militia but somehow conquers Europe, that player is much more dangerous.

:whistling: Brutus, I can destroy you, stop trying.

Are you challenging me? Do you want to fight? (Takes boxing gloves out.)

I'm not a great player anyway. I am probably around the 75th percentile. It was a joke.

Also, I am not saying that the province ratio is not a good indicator. I am just saying that the casualty ratio is.

Win ratio is misleading because someone could have a 0.000001% win ratio and be very good, they have that win % because they have went inactive a lot or have found a lot of events and games boring so left, and inactive, but if they have zero games won they probably aren’t that good. Someone could easily farm their stats at Clash of clans, and when everybody goes offline, he can just be playing against bots, even in HWW it happens, and easily defeat everyone while maintaining a high province ratio, which can also be misleading.

If they have a great and amazing army, they are dangerous.

If they are germany (hww ofc), they are dangerous.

If they have gotten an insane amount of land in like 4 days, they are dangerous.

If they have airforce, artillery, evidence of bombing other provinces to the LAST SECOND, they may be crazy.

If they are using gold, you are most likely screwed.

If they are all combined, I give you my energy.

In my opinion, what matters is high KD ratio, its usually how I decide to let into my coalition, I use province ratio to, even though I said its useless.. I know.. But if they have a great KD ratio and province ratio, they are most likely dangerous.

If they are trash talkers (like that type of person to submit 200 messages in newspaper in a hour to prove he is right against some other guy that does the same thing) they are probably not that good at the game.

But I’d usually use K/D ratio and if they have an amazing army to decide who is dangerous

Normally, players with high KD has high province rate anyways, I’ve had a high province rate since i started this game

meanwhile me against the MKT 2 leader who is US in an HWW and South Africa being a lvl 90 2KDR guy who used a ton of gold to heal troops: Haha, i'm in trouble.
