So I am Germany, I have occupied all of Europe and nobody has challenged me, before, with my ally Italy and Romania, it was soo fun when we had coalition discussions about attacking England via western scotland and we had great times writing lengthy paragraphs discussing invasion routes against the USSR. They are offline now and I have invaded them and now I am alone with only 5 players left, I feel like I wanna go offline. But all of that time and energy leading up to this will be gone and wasted, so what should I do 
Well... it's your own choice actually, you can put an end of struggle you had spent with both of them, by going offline.
Or why not just end the game? you had conquered all of europe right? I mean it's really are a waste of a time if you just going went offline without any reward in the end, for experience you had spend with them. Because sometimes you need to be alone to experience an enjoyment from a madness and a freedom!
But again it's your own choice, and I only able to suggest.
