To be fair Cuba was most definitely caused by the US embargo. The US after the missile crisis easily could have had a détente and befriended the Cubans but choose to make their lives garbage. Not Cuba’s complete fault in that case.

Yes, from what ive read, Castro seems lije a chill guy. He wanted to be friends with the US. And only reverted to being a commie because the US ignored him. In essence, he became a commie due to the US, and not one by nature.
