What does "Reclaim the Mainland" mean?

Modern china has gotten smarter, they now don't do insane stuff like old timey China and USSR.

They do it in silence, things that seem normal are propaganda, restriction on the internet by itself is information regulation. Not every information is true, and you can never know what is true, except the one talking about horrors of China. Or ones that spout fake horrors to make us "foreigners" to believe China is horrible so we hate them, then China gain justification on shit and blah blah.

OK, this is the most entertaining thread I've seen on this forum so far. Few thoughts of my own:

1. No such thing as a neutral source, since they're all written by humans (or AI basing it off human sources) and all humans have at least a subconscious opinion on whatever they're writing about, so you can all give up looking for one.

2. Capitalism and communism are both awful when taken to extremes. I'll admit to having communist sympathies when if comes to the theory, but in practice nobody's gotten it to work the way it says on the tin and I'd personally rather live in an existing capitalist society than a communist one, even if someone else gets to pick which one and that person is out to get me.

3. Fascism and capitalism are not the same thing.

4. Governments are better at censoring things than some people here seem to realise.

5. If the pro-CCP person in this thread actually lives in mainland China (which is my understanding), I'm pretty sure the web is censored over there, so that person at least doesn't have access to all the same sources as some of the other people in this discussion. Not her fault, just something to consider.

People think the government is "weak" or whatever at censoring and removing/replacing information.

If they want, they could literally wipe out a person from existence and replace them with a "fake"

Furthermore they've been able to do that about as far back as history goes. Or the 'wiping them out for existence' bit anyway.
