What does this mean?

earlier today, I tried healing my collision mate troops, but this error popped up.

I would like to know what happened and why it popped up. Thanks!

You can only boost allied troops with paid gold. This is a security mechanism against multi accounts, who could use the free gold to push their main accounts.

I like to phrase it this way: Gold that you earn from winning games or achievements can only be used on your own units or provinces. If you wish to influence allied units or provinces you will need to purchase gold.

I didn't even lnow you could do that. This explains why some players are happy to ally with gold-spammers :whistling:

but people can just buy the cheapest gold, then if they have 200k gold they can just use it all up in 1 game on healing allies’ troops! So actually I don’t think the security works

hi

I think it is one of the least effective uses of gold. So it's probably not a biggie.

Well it works because only a tiny fraction of the multis would do that. Usually multi accounts are created by non-payers who create those additional accounts because they have more time available than money. They could also just pay for their main account, which receives offers as well, so it would also not make much of a difference.
