your own rocket fighters lol. They are quite OP, but cost a lot and are mainly a niche unit. their short range is also exploitable.

Hello, is there an effective counter to a player using axis rocket fighters for example in his frontlines? (Easier option)
Lets say that we play as anything else than axis doctrine.Rocket fighters are much better than interceptors in terms of stats like damage,hp and speed while they have lower range and a bit higher cost. That means that he has local air supremacy which in most cases is a bad thing so you need to neutralize the rocket fighters.
(I think pan asian interceptors have higher range on patrol so if he is offline you can damage them while you recieve defensive values? I dont know about this one)
Also as a disclaimer i know rocket fighters will need more airstrips to move and in the long run are more expensive in general but wiping out the same value of interceptors (and more he picks your stacks one by one) or even if you win with heavy losses is not the way to go.Also if he has larger economy he can tank these losses better.
So there are a couple strategies i think but they are definetly not effective:
-Best option i believe is the double tap method.Use rockets to destroy their airstrip/aircraft factory (will call them all airstrips from now on) while they are patroling. That will make them automatically land to the nearest airstrip (i dont know if the player can manually choose) and you throw more rockets there to turn them to aircraft convoys and destroy them. The cost of the rockets should be pretty similar to the cost of the rocket fighters maybe a little less (Depending the lvl of the airstrips and the range they are). The only problem is that you may dont know where the airstrips are and you end up destroying a freshly started infrastructure (or the worng airstrip). Also rockets are less flexible and slower to deploy and reposition.
-Variation of this method is using bombers instead of second wave of rockets (or much less rockets) as a means to destroy his grounded rocket fighters. But there is a really big risk,if he has a second stack of rocket fighters waiting in his backlines your bombers even as escorted will become shooting stars or provide nice stories from the survivors.(strategic bombers will survive more damage and they may gorund his airforce indefinitely but again you would take heavy losses)
-Another unorthodox variation of the double tap method (if you are rich) is using spies to destroy the secondary airstrips. That may or may not work and it is only able to happen at daychange. At least he will be confused for a bit.
-Dont build any airforce mid to late game and focus on ground AA.Sure you can have some interceptors but you wont have to deal with rocket fighters if they have nothing to kill.Very spicy strategy.
(Rushing with troops (even stealth units) to take out his airstrip should not work he knows that and he should be able to exploit it and protect himself while also he is inflicting maximum damage)
Also this question includes only rocket fighters it does not consider that the player may also other units like rockets or strategic bombers that can make things more complicated.
So after this small post what are your opinions? Does a better more effective strategy to counter axis rocket fighters exist?

rockets are good only if they are on the ground or are near the front line. still, good breakdown
