What is the defense rating against buildings for?
I have never noticed buildings shooting back on a land unit or air units. Let alone ships.
So why is there a defense rating against buildings?

You mean stationary AA towers? Yeah we could implement them as units with 0 speed and the building armor class for example. Then only units which are good against buildings would deal decent damage to them.
Maybe we can seriously work on such more experimental units one day.
Only thing is a I fear large stacks of Strategic bombers, the thing there were made to defend against, would easily destroy them. Maybe a special setting where they receive -50% damage from planes would make them more viable?freezy wrote:

I dont think we would develop such a feature as it would be very specific and not really a requirement for the unit
We could also give them the heavy armor class instead for example, then strat bombers would suck against them but Attack bombers would be good.
Personally I would like the building armor class though as it would add some unique gameplay to them (just fun to think about having units with a never before used armor class). At least for the coastal gun.
This is all hypothetical discussion btw, in the end if it ever came to this (which may never happen) we would think this through properly and create a design from scratch.
A building armor class with new units as well? That would be a dream! Either way, when I die Iβll remember I may have possibly helped inspire a unit in a mobile game during my lifetimeβ¦

There should be something as coastal gun:
1] only in provinces adjacent to sea (regardless is there is road going to sea or not)
2] range of 45km** (the adolf guns had range of 26 miles or 41 km)
3] 15 damage to all sea units
4] 0 damage to submarines and any land unit behind it
5] 10 damage to land units in the firing range and line
** - there should be a radar like line which goes straight with edges spreading out like radar in war thunder. damage to any unit within this area should be 15 or 10 depending on land or sea unit, and 0 damage to all units or submarines outside this line. Subs are safe from the Batterie
45 km? So they become useless and outranged by even cruisers and arty?

23km was maximum longest shot by a battleship (HMS Warspite) and the adolf guns could fire 56km
we should keep historical range for them
Itβs a game, RRGβs can fire the entire distance of Switzerland on some maps, no need for historical accuracy in this sense. Overruled.
id say keep 80 range
