Where to get some challenge

Hello everyone,

I am a fairly new player (2 months) and I enjoyed this game so far. The only problem is the lack of adversity. I consider I am still learning at this game and have plenty of things to learn but in another hand I already feel I overpower many people. How is it possible? I'm not looking for the best players of the world; just some kind of challenge where I can feel I'm playing people at my level. Humbly I can't believe I am that good, where do I need to go to stick with average to good player level? Easy is no fun.

I quickly joined an alliance in the hope I would play teams of people that are used to play together and get some challenge from there but again, all games are quite easy and we are now 5-0 and top 25 in the league in less than 3 weeks. How is it possible? Maybe it's just luck but can't wait to have a game where I am proud we won.

Thanks,

Maybe this would be a good thread to ask, what's the likelihood one would be in a PL coalition of "mimes" (players who don't communicate), "kittens" (players who get distracted easily and go off doing their own thing), or "opossums" (players who don't seem to be doing anything other than logging in every day to research the next thing). I've been avoiding the PL because of such experiences with Alliances and open game Coalitions.

Yeah I saw that, it looks like something for advanced player. I sure will join in a near future, for now I just need somewhere I could have average to good players to slowly improve.

The "Fight Club Alliance" might be one option. It's primary goal is to help players learn and improve their game.

Any game I'm in, I'm eager to coach players. But that doesn't help so much in having challenging opponents unless you'd like to fight it out and I could tell you, later, why you lost. But that doesn't help so much, either, because I wouldn't know your resource levels, etc.

Not necessarily. As long as you got a good head on your shoulders and have a bit of time to play you should be OK. Of course even the best can get wiped if they are unlucky. It is highly coalition based and coalitions are permanently tied together by the rules.
