I would agree. nothing but light tanks is doable....against AI's...Zazmio wrote:

Try that against an active player who knows what he's doing and you better be wearing your Depends.
LTS is very good, i use it all the time.Nostroma wrote:

agreed
Sometimes you do, if i ask you to bombard Hawaii from Taipei you need a Carrier-BLOOP- wrote:

You know I was just being a smartass? Razzing Carking for saying that he wins games without carriers.Nostroma wrote:

What does coastline have to do with carriers? if I say that I am China in historic and want to bomb taiwan, I can use airplanes at Wuhan. If I am let's say USA and I wanna hit Japan, then sure I need carriers.svlk wrote:

Yes, if you wanna attack active player with well protected coastline
Not the best example, though. Big difference between not using one unit and using all of them. Would have been smarter to say that you win without them, so they are useless (which would be wrong since they can be good).Zazmio wrote:

My point was mainly that you donβt need them, even if you can use them to greater effect. In fact Iβm planning to make use of them in a future game..
Probably these are right words for what I wanted to say: Not completely useless, but not really necessaryCarking the 6th wrote:

I disagree. It was the most best example in the history of the internetz. I WING THE INTERNETZCarking the 6th wrote:

If I had used your example, that would not have been funny. I was basically comparing you to noobs who go into inactive noob games, spam LTs, then think that every other unit is not necessary and that they are the second coming of Erwin Rommel. Ho Ho Ho! Exaggeration for comedic effect!
Yeah. You don't need a car, a plane, or a train to get to Rome either; you can just walk there.Carking the 6th wrote:

Lol I actually don't use light tanks much, though i like themZazmio wrote:

All coastline with Naval Bomber patrol on there, you can use Battleship to bombard that area when your troops disembark but defender will send Naval Bomber, so you will need fighter to take them downNobodyx2 wrote:

Bro are your cruisers at the bottom of the ocean? Why not use Cruisers to fend off air attacks, instead of aircraft carrier and interceptor?
One Pan-Asian cruiser costs: 630 grain, 950 metal, 630 oil, 1.1k manpower and 1.4k money
vs
One Pan Asian Carrier costs: 650 grain, 1.3k metal, 650 oil, 1.2k manpower and 1.5k money
One Pan Asian Interceptor costs: 500 goods, 500 oil, 760 rare materials, 860 manpower and 1.1k money
Bro are you ready to spend so many resources?
If you pack interceptors onto carriers you are limited in how many you can bring. There is no reason the enemy can't recall interceptors from other fronts and overwhelm you locally.svlk wrote:

If you manage to fit more interceptors on carriers than the enemy can fend off with their land-based interceptors, that's simply a bad or inactive enemy.
if your fighters did their job long enough your land units will be on shore to establish an airbase
You wanna escort landing troops or you wanna do naval battle? I won't put my landing troops into battle navy vs airforce when they just sitting duck there and take damage.Nobodyx2 wrote:

also cruiser only help on the sea, but carriers with airforce will help more to push deep into enemy territory
