This wasn't really announced in recent updates and tbh I don't see any good reason as to why Bytro would remove it...
This, along with removing some of the espionage actions, gives golders less ways to spend their bricks.

Why can't I heal my coalition partner's units?
I've always been able to use gold or booster cards to heal my coalition partner's units. Now, the option for that is gone. Why is that?

It's bad enough fighting a gold buyer / user...Having him able to burn up his gold on his team mates? That's pushing things too far.
You might as well be facing a whole team of gold users.
