Why do People Love Militia?

I'm confused about why so many players here like militia. I get that they are stealth on most provinces, but they just don't seem to be worth it for me.

Some down sides of Militia:

  • They need to be at least level 3/4 to even be helpful
  • One of the slowest units in the game
  • Vulnerable on plains (the most common province type)
  • Little to no defense against heavy armour and air
  • Everything they can do, infantry can do better
The last bullet on this list is probably why I don't bother researching them past level 1 (which i may make level 1 militia sometimes to prevent a city from rebelling). I have found that Infantry and Armoured Cars are stronger, faster, and more versatile in defensive combat.

What does everyone else think?

That's quite the assumption. Even if they don't have quite as many resources, interceptors are cheaper than bombers.

Nor do most users.
Do you?
Not if the the page of quotes isn't helping understand the response. I guess it bothers my OCD, like piles of trash and wasted space.
That reminds me of someone on the CoN forum...

He always got in a fit when a noob created a thread about a topic that had a similar thread created a few years before... LOL

On the other hand, I do like to see people enjoying themselves on the forums, so I can live with it :)

Haven’t ran into someone who really breaks this rule in years, plus you can always bomb their air bases, and/or rush them on the ground. I usually have land stacks of Mot and Mech infantry, and reg Infantry. Also some medium tanks, work together with planes, and enemies will almost always fail to be able to counter it.

But let's get back on topic.

I don't mind that at all. I also don't mind people responding to very old threads which some people seem to have a problem with.

From Google:

Chad is a usually disparaging internet slang term used for a popular, confident, sexually active young white male. Its female counterpart is Stacy, who is often portrayed as Chad's sexual partner. Use of Chad is associated with the incel community and the website 4chan to refer stereotypical alpha males.

Heh it's always nice when there's more activity than a bunch of old guys trying to figure out specific game mechanics

I have long hoped that someone (preferrably the folks at Bytro) would create intriguing video tutorials of the game mechanics.

Is that what bmfox did/does? I admit that I've never actually seen his videos, though I know they're generally well-regarded

Let me suggest that right now.

Who is bmfox?

And where can I find his videos?

It’s nice to see that This thread took a wholesome turn lol.

Every once in a while I consider making videos of my own but conclude that I don't have the time to commit. It's much easier to just make posts on a forum when I'm bored or procrastinating.

YouTube, he’s was a mod. Made some pretty good videos on the game I think.
