Because its undefeatable
Why do people stack HORDES of planes?
This definitely wasn't a thing in 1.0, but now is it considered a "strategy" in the later game to stack TONS of planes in a single stack, even though only 10 of them will deal damage? For example, they might put 20 interceptors, 20 tacs, 20 attacks, etc. Because there's someone with a stack of like 94 planes, and I'm like, WHAT??

how about 60 interceptors? It is still undefeatable?Fox-Company wrote:

Yes. You can survive their attack with a lot of health, shit on their airstrip (you have more range so they can never escape you) and then end their Air Force. Undefeatable, you can overwhelm any foe.MarshalOfVictory89 wrote:

I wonder who has those 94 (and counting) planesβ¦Taffyta Muttonfudge wrote:

we not talking about how you can still win comrade carking, i mean if someone have 60 planes, 20 tacs 20 bombers and 20 ints, and you have just ints, but 60 of them, you can destroy this 20+20+20 stack easilyCarking the 6th wrote:

Use separate stacks of 10 ints when attacking it. Donβt use bombers to attack it, as that would be inefficient.
Sometimes overstacking is better than splitting. I doubt overstacking to that level is the best option. Maybe they're lazy, maybe they're bad, or maybe they know they'll win and just don't care.
Sometimes I'll add a few extra planes to an air group to minimize damage to the planes I want to keep their health up. For instance, at some point in a game I find I've achieved naval supremacy. What do I do with naval bombers? Combine them with tac bombers for taking out enemy unarmored troops, for example. The naval bombers will absorb some of the damage to keep my tacs healthier for longer.
Yes, but if they can ground your planes you kinda just die. Even if you split into 6 itβs unlikely that youβd do enough damage to your prevent the enemy from just bombing your airfields and destroying your Air Force.MarshalOfVictory89 wrote:

evrything depends, surely you can have more ints, because they are cheaper, so if you only building ints, youll have more planes for sure, so you can protect airfields at the same time. Like several stacks of 10 ints patroling at the airfieldCarking the 6th wrote:

I havenβt been using attack bombers or strat bombers, because I donβt feel that the pluses of them outweigh the price. Interceptors, NB and TB are cheaper and easier to mass produce.MarshalOfVictory89 wrote:

Well yeah, or I could just rocket/nuke the airbase they are at right now. But itβs halfway across the world from me, so Iβm not that worried about this particular scenario. But I guess that strategy could work in general.AleksanderZ wrote:
