Why is 'spam' filtered out from the News?

What is the meaning of this? Spam is hardly a naughty word?

Gold spamming does not get filtered out. I've gone on rants about gold spammers in my games in the newspaper before, and it doesn't get blocked out.

This sounds strange, but it may differ depending on if it’s in the subject or text of a posting. Two games ago, a player called out another for gold spamming because on the day four military ranking he was at 6% when the next closest were at 2%. His article was in fact changed to include a bunch of ****, but he followed up with a second with it in the text.

I don't know why some of you are inkling that this thread has no purpose. I you think 2 seconds about it before replying, it has to do with how heavily the news paper is censored. I think this is over the reasonable limit in this case.

No. Could you please just stay on the topic? Is it OK to filter out a simple expression as 'Gold spamming'? I don't think it is. I find it unnecessary and over sensitive.
