Rare materials and goods made game more interesting and realistic because there is no way you can make everything with just food metals and fuel.

understanding the issue and in a way the game was more strategic, but there were many and constant complaints about the dependence on goods that were used in much of the production and construction with limited extraction and in some countries more than others
