"World's wealthiest nations" (?)

The in-game newspaper publishes a series of four statistical rankings on a four-day cycle. Three of them are self-explanatory, but what exactly does the "wealthiest nations" stat measure? This stat is different than the "largest economies" stat, so it is unclear what it purports to measure . . . .

That much I understood. The cash on hand (COH, in American business English) is really less meaningful, and now that I know what it represents, I understand why it has such a high degree of variability. I routinely spend most of my cash on resources in the commodities market, rather than keeping a large cash reserve, and use the resources for infrastructure, etc. As a result, after the first week or so of the game, I almost always have the biggest economy, but often have a relatively low "wealthiest nation" ranking because I'm plowing most of my spare cash back into industrial development.

@red fox2 Someone has been very frugal. I've only seen that amount in my account at the end of a very long 50-player game when there was literally nothing left to spend it on.
