Would you say that the flame tank (and in general deploying units with cards) has made the game TOO MUCH P2W?

A concensus.

I am thinking about going back to CoW after getting clubbed by some golders.

For some reason i checked the forum and discovered this new thing bytro made.

After a couple days with this bew new mechanic, would you say this now its worse or it doesn't make much difference?

Too little has happened, we'll give you an update once the FT has come into full effect :)

Long term effects may end up like gold, where long term players horde them and new players gave a hard time not turning over when a more experienced enemy can spend death hordes at will. Or it won’t Change much. We will see.

alright thx.

Say, even before this new addition .

How is the p2w situation? Would you say it's higher than acceptable? Has it increased in the last few months?

It’s not as bad as you may hear. Definitely exists, many games are ruined by it, but for the most part skill will always trump money. Plus the gold market has become so flooded that many freemium players have enough to spam back themselves, which balances things out. The cards are similar, with ads allowing mobile players to horde them, but it’s harder for PC to get free stuff, so cards probably made things a little bit worse. This operations thing is a step in the right direction, though, as it gives players incentive to stay active and allows them to gain things for free.

I don't agree that it keeps people from going inactive; in fact it encourages it. take the "Stay Alive" challenge active now... it encourages people to start a game in some safe corner of a map, log in once a day to avoid going inactive, but without any intention to win the map. In ten days they can claim the reward and go inactive anyway; and believe me ,they will. In between, they didn't contribute anything to the action of the map; their only goals was to stay alive for the required period.

Well maybe if you combine that with other ones it would work better. Why join two maps when you could just join one, take 65 provinces and survive 10 days, and then win the game instead of going inactive when you already have put effort into this? This probably will at least increase activity for a few people, and could be considered a win.
