Should have posted this to suggestions forum but I'm a dummy.
Yet another gold-less game suggestion
As a boomerang player who keeps quitting "for good" (fed up of gold as a resource) and then coming back again a few months later (because the game COULD be great), I rejoined recently and got slapped in the face with the war bond situation - I was unaware of it until returning on a whim. So now everyone uses mana whether or not they paid or watched adverts for it. And it's use it or lose it since WBs don't carry on from game to game.
Bytro won't miss me when I leave for the 5th or 6th time since I don't pay them any money and rarely watch the adverts. But considering that I totally would pay a High Command subscription for this game if it meant I was restricted to games with no gold, no war bonds and no boosters, Bytro could be making money off me.
If there was any sort of significant minority of players who would pay a monthly fee for a CoW game that had the selling feature of excluding the magical "enhancements" (sarcasm) then I would encourage Bytro to explore that - at least on a test basis. Maybe they would be surprised to find a new stream of untapped customer revenue is there for the taking.

with war bonds now everyone has magic power at game
you cant attack a city even you know there is nothing in there , you need to destroy morale and buildings with rockets or strategic bombers before so enemy cant spam anything with war bonds or you need to attack there with 100 unit stacks
Only use WBs if it's urgent
I think the OP is over the top war bonds aren't an issue but what is, is the number of players in games who are golders. This is clear to see from the statistics with some players displaying 50-75%+ win ratios. There was one golder who had a 100% win ratio. Complete and utter tosh.
Perhaps a way of stopping this is two types of game one that bars players joining who have over 30% win ratios and one that bars under 30% win ratios. Then we can have golder only games and those that are likely to have much less chance of such gamblers.

100% agree and made the same suggestion many times before! The magic and witchcraft of WB/Gold/Boosters have ruined the game for me.polixenes wrote:

#NoResourcesForGold (that should fix the golding problem)
Actually this mode exists... in an increasing number of tournaments, actual coining is checked and no money can be brought to the map or you are thrown out. These maps are very competitve as well, and (almost) all players have a premium account, which is basically exactly what everyone is screaming for as an alternative to P2W.polixenes wrote:

The very unfortunate thing about that is, though, that the new features (including mana and the dumbing down of resources/economy) are introduced in these maps as well, since they have become a core feature of the game itself. That means we must swallow the magic element of the game, even if no one can buy more than the natural generation. And yes, people are still quitting over that, simply because the mana itself destroys the element of planning and strategising for a big part.

Are war bonds removed on these maps as well?K.Rokossovski wrote:

war bonds exist , now using planes is impossible , you need many days to build many buildings just to attack in 400 range with planesHenrikSchreiber wrote:

Unfortunately they're not, but there's only the natural generation. Buying more than that is forbidden.HenrikSchreiber wrote:
