You don't get gold despite playing well if defeated?

Just wondering why I didn't get gold despite playing well and being overwhelmed by a coalition that then broke apart after they killed me. And the guy who had all blueprints filled up in a Tutorial match ended up winning after steamrolling by probably using gold to create an instant-army.

Why would anyone want a central country if it's so easy to not gain any 'Game-Wide Value'... or if people just decide to hate on you thus denying you of gold despite your 'Genuine & sometimes Stellar Play'?

the rewards are about your countries points at the END of the game...so if you gt defeated in mid game then...just stay actve in your game and keep a small islsnd maybe and you will get a small reward.

The game has no way to judge how well you played except by how well you survived. No AI can look at your moves and go, "sweet strategy!" So, you just have to survive and collect achievments.

yes. But winning a game is terribly hard especially in 100p maps, 73p, and 50p maps

Let’s say u r playing a 22p map.

Someone killed u on the last day of the game(well, lets say u r like me and damn unlucky) but they wont mark u inactive. Let’s say u got 7th place, 850 gold... But, u r defeated. Why don’t u get the gold?????? U are still active!!!

thats why you should trade a province with one of your allies so you will have 1 province left

That's actually an interesting point. If you are still active when you die, you should get gold based on the number of other active players still alive.

well the easiest game I won solo was by this: YEAH! EVERYONE WENT INACTIVE!!! there were only 5 players in that 22p clash of nations and everyone went inactive, i actually knew that they would so I just captured cities to secure 1st place then vote retire.

Lol yeah my only solo win is 2 other people going inactive in a world at war map heh, but that's my problem..
