Well, the manual is under construction...
YouTube Walkthrough
Preface: I registered yesterday and have been trying to figure out...everything. I searched YouTube for CoW1942 and found a couple good instructional vids re: the Supremacy 1914 (S1914) game (which, apparently, is no longer existent) and, from them, I think I've somewhat figured out what CoW is largely about (except re: in game diplomacy).
Suggestion: I'm thinking it would be helpful, in absence of a manual, for there to be a CoW FAQ thread, as well as, a link to a single or series of YouTube vids explaining: what the game is about, user interface (UI) controls, strategy, diplomacy, and etc.
Inquiry: Given the slow, real time pace of the game (vs. turn based play) would it be practical for there to be "Training Games" in which a "tutor" creates it and beginners get in-game tutoring without concern for winning?
[The most comparable example might be civfanatics' "Noble games" or certain team games at Realms Beyond (both for Civ IV).]

I understand the manual is under construction. In absence of the manual (and even if there is one) I think the rest of my post might be relevant. I can't imagine any game in which prospective and new players wouldn't find the other things I mention helpful/enjoyable.
You could make one yourself. If you really do care.
Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!
Usually, when one says, "If you really do care", they don't but they want someone to know they don't. If that's the case, noted.
Can you post links for those videos? I've tried looking for videos about the game and cannot find any, even when searching CoW 1942.
There are no videos and yes, you can post links.

I agree. The veterans in this community are too lazy to create tutorial vids/strategy vids to help out new players. I would try making one myself, but I don't have adequate recording material and a broken microphone.
