1939 HWW RP ‘chit-chat’
This thread is for everyone who wants to chat about the upcoming 1939 HWW RP. This is to prevent spam on the applications thread, which may discourage new applicants.

But there will be some set alliances as the beginning of the game, e.g. British Empire, and Allies/Axis, however, I think on this, if everyone is realistic, you will be able to do things like push for independence, or switch sides, but this will first have to be heavily thought out. Maybe a pretend focus tree for each nation, e.g. we will give you option to do stuff that wouldn't normally be allowed, but you'd have to make certain posts first and wait a number of days.

Day 1:
- Focus on Military
- Focus on Industry
If Focus on Industry
Day 7:
- Hold Province Elections
Day 14:
- Swaraj (India Independence movement)
Day 21:
- Quit India Movement (Peaceful Independence movement)
- All India Forward Bloc (Violent Independence movement)
IF INDEPENDENCE IS GAINED:
- Soviet Aid
- Turn Communist and join the USSR
- Nazi Aid
- Turn Fascist and join the Axis
- Rebuild India
- Become a fully independent, neutral nation
No ‘set alliances’. Over admining is what kills RPs. All we need is clear rules. U can break any alliance it’ll just make ppl hate u (like real international diplomacy). Doesn’t mean it’s a fake alliance just means ppl won’t like uZaktty wrote:

Over instating stuff does ruin roleplays, but I feel like we do need to keep everyone on solid ground if you know what I mean, e.g. if someone new joins as India and immediately starts doing crazy stuff with no build-up then that's an issue.
And I do think the British Empire should stay in tact at least at first.
That being said, if I do end up as UK, I promise not to force anyone into anything, unless it's joining me in a war, as that is most realistic.
We gotta make sure everyone reads and understands a clear list of rules before this starts, though.

Disagree. You can have a lot of rules for RP, without forcing stuff. You can simulate civil war in India, for example, by allowing the USSR to send 10 units to fight in India. You can also RP a rebellion against the British Empire in South Africa, and the UK will have to decide whether they want to fight to keep it or let it go.Zaktty wrote:

Don’t agree, not historical really. There shouldn’t be any need for land swap at all. If Australia decides to go against their long-standing ally and declare war on New Zealand as part of the RP, by all means do that. I also expect Australia to be at war with the Netherlands. But it isn’t necessary to have any arbitrary landswap period or anything like this - it’s all set up for us!Carking the 6th wrote:
