1991 Role Play: Brainstorming and Planning

NOTE: THIS THREAD IS A CONTINUATION OF: 1991 Role Play (Original Thread)

**NOTE: THIS IS JUST AN IDEA FOR NOW UNTIL ANY CURRENT FORUM RP GAMES END AND IF WE GET ENOUGH PARTICIPANTS**

Here we can discuss ideas about planning the roleplay, including what bloc nations should be in, landgrabbing issues, bloc balancing, etc. I'm going to put down people's names here who want certain nations, although nobody's locked in just yet - everyone has an opportunity to sign up for the nation they want. Major powers, such as Russia, USA, UK, etc. will only be given to trusted community members who have previous RP experience.

Western Bloc (NATO):

The captain of the neutral team would be chosen later.

Countries with an asterisk (*) will only be available for players with previous RP experience, as we will need quailty performances from these nations for the RP to play out adequately.

Also, so this thread doesn't turn into a 20-page off-topic s**tshow, please ONLY DISCUSS THINGS RELATED TO THE PLANNED 1991 RP HERE. Thank you.

May I suggest that we create a private conversation where you add everybody already confirmed and anyone else you would want to be in the RP? I suggest this so we can avoid troll infiltration, doing all this in public is risque

I think that Russia needs to be the best player.

Remember - Most countries will have 5 cities, the US will have 10 and the USSR will have 35 or something. Very unballenced. This will make for a very good Roleplay, where everyone basically has to form a coalition against the USSR, or get gobbled up one by one.

And, can you make clear the NP rules, will everyone be allowed to write "will edit later" on their declarations of war or will they have to write if first? I found this problem very fustrating last time.

People need to keep in mind that it is Russia, not the USSR. Brando needs to change the main page to reflect that.

"Well yes, but actually no", Russia will have 2 cities in this, however, unless the person playing them is very experienced, only about 10 of those will be properly used

  • I don’t know exactly how many cities Russia will have, but it will definitely be more than 2.
  • I will talk to the mods about that.
  • Nobody’s spaces are confirmed yet, because we won’t be doing this for a while. However, I can put you down as Germany. Other people can challenge you for that role, though.
  • I will change that, sorry for the confusion.

I think we should have the USA “occupy” Benelux, like they did in the 1949 RP.
