1991 Role Play: Brainstorming and Planning

NOTE: THIS THREAD IS A CONTINUATION OF: 1991 Role Play (Original Thread)

**NOTE: THIS IS JUST AN IDEA FOR NOW UNTIL ANY CURRENT FORUM RP GAMES END AND IF WE GET ENOUGH PARTICIPANTS**

Here we can discuss ideas about planning the roleplay, including what bloc nations should be in, landgrabbing issues, bloc balancing, etc. I'm going to put down people's names here who want certain nations, although nobody's locked in just yet - everyone has an opportunity to sign up for the nation they want. Major powers, such as Russia, USA, UK, etc. will only be given to trusted community members who have previous RP experience.

Western Bloc (NATO):

Eastern Bloc (Warsaw Pact/Cominform/Comintern):

Neutral Bloc (Non-Aligned Movement):

The captain of the neutral team would be chosen later.

Countries with an asterisk (*) will only be available for players with previous RP experience, as we will need quailty performances from these nations for the RP to play out adequately.

Also, so this thread doesn't turn into a 20-page off-topic s**tshow, please ONLY DISCUSS THINGS RELATED TO THE PLANNED 1991 RP HERE. Thank you.

@AleksanderZ I would like to make a shortlist for countries I would like to apply as:

- USA, if no-one more experienced applies

- UK - although I am conscious that I have played this country a lot and I am fine for someone else to play them

- Ukraine

- Italy

(I don't mind between the bottom 2).

Zaktty should definitely be United States. He’s probably the most qualified person for it. Experience, enough game skill and good ability to lead an alliance. It all checks out. It would be a waste to not have someone so qualified in the US! We’re already gonna run into trouble with Russia…

Put in brackets that not picked, but applied, just so people still apply.

Ok then, I will remain as Finland. I agree Zaktty is best, and I must admit that my performance in the last RP was underwhelming to say the least, I think I should play as a minor before I get a chance at a major again.

One thing is that you’re probably the best qualified around to play Finland, but you could still do some other higher level country as well.
