Here we can discuss ideas about planning the roleplay, including what bloc nations should be in, landgrabbing issues, bloc balancing, etc. I'm going to put down people's names here who want certain nations, although nobody's locked in just yet - everyone has an opportunity to sign up for the nation they want. Major powers, such as Russia, USA, UK, etc. will only be given to trusted community members who have previous RP experience.
Czechoslovakia (AI) (Remember Czechoslovakia didn't break up until 1993)
The captain of the neutral team would be chosen later.
Countries with an asterisk (*) will only be available for players with previous RP experience, as we will need quailty performances from these nations for the RP to play out adequately.
Also, so this thread doesn't turn into a 20-page off-topic s**tshow, please ONLY DISCUSS THINGS RELATED TO THE PLANNED 1991 RP HERE. Thank you.

So obviously I won’t be moderating the next one - but I’ll suggest to genuinely make the mod team as small as possible to maximise efficiency and avoid conflict.

Sorry you can't make it. I was thinking there should be one mod on each "team" and 1 or 2 more mods as neutrals. Since it's a small map we don't need that many mods.

@Joe Bartolozzi already requested France. You can challenge him if you want; you both will have to write 200-word articles describing how you plan to RP as France. Or, if you still want to be a NATO nation, Italy, Sweden and Canada are available. Depending on your schedule, you might want to take Canada as that country probably won't necessitate as much activity in the early game.

I’m thinking that somewhere in the range of 6 would be the best. But I do get why you are concerned about a too many cooks in the kitchen. I’d appreciate if the East team had 2 mods, me and Russia. Whoever is Russia should already be experienced and thus deserving of a mod but I don’t want to be USSR because I will be Romania.

Sam is right - we don't need that many mods. Another option is to have a "neutral" mod, like how me (Yugoslavia) did in the 1946 RP, but it would have to be a remote country like Canada or Morocco.

I agree, at least until that is proven wrong, we can't give him a major nation. we can make algeria neutral, or i can step down and give Tanke a chance to mod.
