1991 Role Play: Brainstorming and Planning

NOTE: THIS THREAD IS A CONTINUATION OF: 1991 Role Play (Original Thread)

**NOTE: THIS IS JUST AN IDEA FOR NOW UNTIL ANY CURRENT FORUM RP GAMES END AND IF WE GET ENOUGH PARTICIPANTS**

Here we can discuss ideas about planning the roleplay, including what bloc nations should be in, landgrabbing issues, bloc balancing, etc. I'm going to put down people's names here who want certain nations, although nobody's locked in just yet - everyone has an opportunity to sign up for the nation they want. Major powers, such as Russia, USA, UK, etc. will only be given to trusted community members who have previous RP experience.

Western Bloc (NATO):

Eastern Bloc (Warsaw Pact/Cominform/Comintern):

Neutral Bloc (Non-Aligned Movement):

The captain of the neutral team would be chosen later.

Countries with an asterisk (*) will only be available for players with previous RP experience, as we will need quailty performances from these nations for the RP to play out adequately.

Also, so this thread doesn't turn into a 20-page off-topic s**tshow, please ONLY DISCUSS THINGS RELATED TO THE PLANNED 1991 RP HERE. Thank you.

That just confirms somebodies country is going to get stolen

My father once said this: “If you don’t know anything, don’t assume you know and don’t say anything you don’t know is true”
I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest he’s kinda right if you think about it

Couple of questions which I want to ask

1) Why does a name which contains a country's name always appears before a RP?

2) How did Fiji stumble on this post? It is not in the 'hot threads' category. It is obvious that he searched it, and a new member searching this as soon as they join? Huh

Guys, I think I have a solution to prevent arta from stealing our countries, but... you aren't going to like it.

If we let Arta in, we can let him choose the last country there is, and then we keep a close eye, for example he has to share map with the leader to make sure he isn’t braking the rules, either way if we let him in we won’t have to worry about him stealing countries, basically, testing him. Well just have to keep a very close eye on him

Sorry Neptune, but that's..... A terrible idea.

I'm not trying to be offensive or anything ofc. But Arta isn't gonna play nice. So what if the leader has SM with him? What are they gonna do? It won't stop Arta. And at the very least, he's a shit RPer. Why would we deliberately let him in when we could have someone far better?
