1991 Role Play (JUST AN IDEA FOR NOW)
**NOTE: THIS IS JUST AN IDEA FOR NOW UNTIL ANY CURRENT FORUM RP GAMES END AND IF WE GET ENOUGH PARTICIPANTS**
So what would everyone think about a 1991 Roleplay, where Germany is reunited, the Cold War is over and the USSR is falling apart. Violent wars are raging in Libya and Yugoslavia. There would be 3 teams, the West, the East, and Neutrals. This RP would take place on the 22 player map.

- Czechoslovakia (AI) (Remember Czechoslovakia didn't break up until 1993)
This RP would function similar to the current 1949 RP, where the first 4 days are for landgrabbing, and where every 2 ingame days equals 1 real life year (so 1 ingame day is 6 months in real life). The West and East will try to get Neutral or even opposing nations on their side.
Please give me your feedback on this idea, what you like about it and what can be changed. If this gets enough interest I will make an RP map and more info.

i have a friend who’s bosnian and her mother had to leave bosnia as a kid becuz of the war... she was talking to me about it a few months ago

To reiterate, I think Egypt would be fun for me, though I’d like to be independent. I’m not sure how alliances will be done… do we assume the CSTO is more successful and actually able to function like an alliance?

Probably for balance, both of those countries has also gone through a sort of transition from their Cold War fascist and democratic governments to the current republic and nationalist (also hella religious, turkey is messed up rn) states they have now. So you could easily RP them doing anything else. If the west has them, it’s just 1949 but East gets crushed even more…

Turkey makes more sense starting on Neutrals. Remember neutral countries can always join one side or another depending on rp process.Zaktty wrote:

I was worried about a 1991 start date as the East is literally on its knees, I am surprised 1936 has lasted so long even without a power balance, which does give me hope but not much.

Also, I’m on the fence as to whether we should start before or after the breakup of the USSR. Maybe we can take a vote on that later on.

After would be more interesting, Ukraine was basically a Russian puppet at this time so East would actually have an advantage of a country with their cores on their side.
