I know that the East is at a disadvantage as it is, and having an independent Ukraine that could potentially turn to the West would make things even worse.
1991 Role Play (JUST AN IDEA FOR NOW)
**NOTE: THIS IS JUST AN IDEA FOR NOW UNTIL ANY CURRENT FORUM RP GAMES END AND IF WE GET ENOUGH PARTICIPANTS**
So what would everyone think about a 1991 Roleplay, where Germany is reunited, the Cold War is over and the USSR is falling apart. Violent wars are raging in Libya and Yugoslavia. There would be 3 teams, the West, the East, and Neutrals. This RP would take place on the 22 player map.
West:
- USA (Captain)
- Canada
- UK
- France
- Germany
- Sweden
- Italy
- Netherlands (AI)
- Belgium (AI)
- Luxembourg (AI)
- Iceland (AI)
- Denmark (AI)
- Norway (AI)
- Ireland (AI)
- Saudi Arabia (AI)
- Russia (Captain)
- Ukraine
- Romania
- Yugoslavia
- Egypt
- Libya
- Syria (AI)
- Estonia (AI)
- Latvia (AI)
- Lithuania (AI)
- Albania (AI)
- Bulgaria (AI)
- Cuba (AI)
- Western Sahara (AI)
- Spain
- Finland
- Turkey
- Croatia
- Morocco
- Poland
- Algeria
- Switzerland (AI)
- Iraq (AI)
- Austria (AI)
- Tunisia (AI)
- Portugal (AI)
- Greece (AI)
- Czechoslovakia (AI) (Remember Czechoslovakia didn't break up until 1993)
This RP would function similar to the current 1949 RP, where the first 4 days are for landgrabbing, and where every 2 ingame days equals 1 real life year (so 1 ingame day is 6 months in real life). The West and East will try to get Neutral or even opposing nations on their side.
Please give me your feedback on this idea, what you like about it and what can be changed. If this gets enough interest I will make an RP map and more info.

As I said, Ukraine was really pro-Russian at first and would be on their side. Independent Ukraine with cores on east side would be stronger.

One left the community, the other was never here.
Sweden also wasnβt really in NATO at the time. Pro-Western but mostly neutral, until the current Ukraine war. You could make them neutral to give the east more balance.

Good idea.
So Claudio is United Kingdom?
Wasnβt Algeria or Morocco pro-Russian too at this time? I think Egypt was more neutral under Mubarak in comparison, though not as Pro-West as Sisi or Sadat.

We havenβt started nation signups yet. We donβt even know if we have enough players to do this.
There is only one way to find outβ¦

You know about the Middle East right? Why do you think about Egypt, Algeria, Turkey etc. being neutral?Carking the 6th wrote:

Turkey makes sense, while they hated the Soviets and opposed them it got a lot less extreme after the collapse. As you can see theyβd become rather neutral and only a NATO member in name, playing both sides to their benefit. Theyβd lean west but I donβt see them being on their team. Egypt is similar as in when βpresidentβ Sadat took over they became more Western, but under Mubarak they turned more neutral. Algeria is a harder case, but Iβd have them leaning towards Russia, probably still neutral. Perhaps @TheZhukov can help with Algeria in the 90βs.

What about Morocco? Were they more western than Algeria, or about the same?
Leaning towards the west but non-alligned, it seems

I want to play as Hrvatska
So we will make both of them neutral it sounds. I want to make sure that there are enough neutral nations, otherwise getting neutrals on their side won't be as big of a priority for the West and East.Carking the 6th wrote:

Remember that Libya is on the Eastern Bloc, so they have the advantage in Africa. That should put more pressure on Western Europe, especially if Morocco and/or Algeria joins the East.
According to the OP the commies have the least player nations.AleksanderZ wrote:

I would probably put Morocco towards west and Algeria towards east. As Egypt myself Iβd rather be neutral lol.AleksanderZ wrote:
