A Kingdom that has naught to the very title of 'Kingdom' in which it holds but an empty throne, lands a plenty, and a proud, yet noble Regent who tries to lead his people into a glorious future. Home to that of a proud and just people, a nation that forever remains at forefront of the fight against the threat of the Heretic Muslim Scrooge and their false teachings that dare to defy and defile the will and name of our Holy Lord! This is our Homeland, the Kingdom of Hungary.

It was in the first year of the second millennium of our Lord, upon the crowning and under the rule of King Stephen I, later Saint Stephen I. First King of a United Hungarian people, and servant of our Holy Lord that the Hungarian people first found salvation in both the will and the glorious light of the Lord! That the Hungarian people found their first glory upon the battlefields of greater Europe, by fighting alongside the troops of the Holy Roman Empire and his brother in-law, His Imperial Majesty Henry II, against the threat of the Polish, and later by that of defending his realm from the Bulgarians and Holy Roman Empire upon the death of Henry II, And all others who dare rose to challenge his rule and the Hungarian people.

And it would be in the great glory, honor, and leadership brought to Hungary by Stephen that our people and nation would rise to known throughout Europe! And would inspire that of all Hungarians for generations and all future great rulers of our nation there afterward in his rule . And see how our nation has grown! For it be we, the people of Hungary that rule all that stretches from Transylvania and Wallachia in the eastern most parts of our realm to the domains of Croatia and Slavonia in the west that borders the Holy Roman Empire. For it is we, that remain one of the utmost loyal followers of the Holy Lord, and His church! For it is we, that in spite of it all be it those who wish to conquer our homeland or subvert us to their our own gain or purpose, we remain strong! The people of Hungary remain strong! For we, we are the people of the kingdom of Hungary!

But alas, the past six years have been those of dark times for our people. For it was naught less then six years ago after that our last King, Vladislaus I, King of Poland and that of greater Hungary and Croatia, was slayed upon the battlefield of Varna leading nothing but the most loyal, the most brave and holy of his troops in a most heroic charge to capture the utmost vile and heretic Sultan of the Ottoman Turk's, Murad II in the final battle of the Holy crusade of Varna against the Ottoman horde. May the souls of all those lost in name of, and service of our Holy Lord against the Heretic Muslims, and their false god, be remembered and honored in the minds of all those who believe in our Holy Lord for their sacrifice.

But be as it may, it would be by the will of God in vengeance less then 4 years later it would be upon the fields of Kosovo in the lands of Serbs. A land where naught but 70 years ago it was where the forces of Christianity suffered a most grievous defeat against the Muslim horde. That the former adviser of King Sigmund, John Hunyadi a Noble Lord of our realm and survivor of the failed Crusade of Varna. Would take up the sword and leadership of yet another campaign against the Ottomans in an attempt to drive their rabble from the Balkans, and to avenge the death of his liege. Amassing an army of 23.000 Hungarian and Wallachian soldiers and mercenaries, our noble lord marched upon and into the lands of Serbia. Now under the rule of the Ottoman's and their vassal ruler, Durad Brankovic would refuse to aid our forces against the Heretic Ottomans upon entering his realm, perhaps fearing the wrath of his Ottoman masters. It would be upon the battlefield of Kosovo, that in our darkest moment with the noble Knights of the cavalry scattered and being cut down and being overcome by the sheer number of Ottomans and the brave soldiers of our lines at their breaking point and we on the verge of defeat. That Brankovic would turn upon his masters!It would be perhaps the sheer shock and surprise of Brankovic's betrayal, that the Ottomans would be unable to properly respond against the new threat within their ranks for a time. Thus allowing our own forces to regroup, and it would be in these moments, that the Noble Knights of our cavalry along with Brankovic's own mounted soldiers would charge! And what a glorious sight it was. With the Ottomans still reeling from the sheer confusion that had overcome the battlefield, it would be an even greater shock to their ranks as hundreds of mounts baring Knights and Soldiers of every kind would smash into them, completely shattering the last of what could be called an organized defense and by the end of day, The last of the Ottoman force would have either fled the battlefield with their defeated Sultan, Mehmed. Or had been slayed by the blade of the Christian forces.

Gleeful at our victory over the Ottomans, and grateful for his great assistance in their defeat. Our lord Hunyadi would allow Brankovic to remain ruler of his new realm of that of a Christian Serbia, although it would perhaps be wise to keep a wary eye to southward. Lest such a fate such as one suffered by the Ottomans and Mehmed befall upon that of ourselves...

And while further funding to continue his campaign against the Ottomans from the noble classes of our realm would elude our lord Hunyadi, and he and his troops would be forced to return home without being able to liberate any more of the Balkan realms. It would be a return home home to be welcomed as hero's of both Hungary, and Christianity! Feasts and celebrations would be held in their honor, and it would be to the great approval of the common masses that Hunyadi would be elected as Governor-Regent of our realm by the regency council until a new King is crowned and placed upon the Hungarian throne.

This would be matter that would beg the question: when will a new king of the realm of Hungary be crowned? It is perhaps unknown, for King Vladislaus I died without producing an heir during his reign, and that of the only one who by blood could claim the throne of that of Hungary resides in the Holy Roman Empire under the guardianship of his family and remains that of a mere child. Without doubt being raised to be naught but a puppet to the Holy Roman Empire and its Emperor. But is also without doubt, that no Kingdom nor realm will continue to survive with naught but a Recent no matter how good, and a council of even the most noble of Nobles to lead it. Alas, but until a new ruler of our land is crowned, the people of Hungary can only hope our Noble regent Hunyadi and his council can lead us.

For it is now the year 1450 of our Holy Lord, and it is to the north, that the Polish and their vassals ever wait. Waiting for the moment to strike deep into the heart of Hungary, lusting to call these lands their own. To the west, it is the Holy Roman Empire, an old rival of our people. Who along with their masters the Habsburgs long to add Hungary to their domain and its people dance as their puppets. Meanwhile to south and to east lies Serbia, the Byzantine Empire in their final days of glory, and worst of all; lies the Ottoman Empire. The intentions of the Serbs remain dubious; tis they be friend or a foe awashing them and their plans in the shadows? Meanwhile the Heretic Ottomans prepare, prepare to march upon these lands and avenge their defeat and humiliation at Hungarian hand, and purge the teachings of our Holy Lord from these lands. And what of the Byzantines? Abandoned by the Papacy in Rome to both the wrath of the Muslim horde and fellow Christians; their 'Empire' lies in ruins, a sad and rotting shadow of their former glory and the legacy of Rome, hardly a threat to take notice of. But perhaps, perhaps could it be that we, the people of Hungary could restore some of that former glory? It is after all, the Church of the Empire that presented half of royal crown of the Hungarian Kings so long ago.

Alas only time, and the will of our Holy Lord will tell...
