(I blew up quite a few ships and kicked you out of multiple fronts? Is that not enough? Crippling the commonwealth mkre would lead to long term issues…)

But, five of my cities were completely bombed into oblivion (Dusseldorf and Cologne revolted to Belgium and Luxembourg as a result, Vienna and Munich revolted to Poland and Yugoslavia but I got them back), my convoys were destroyed, my paratrooper attack failed, and my navy was close to destruction.
In all seriousness, there needs to be a rule against bombing cities to sh**.
Yeah cause your gonna have to kill both of those countries now, you need your core oil city…
4 years, no?Zaktty wrote:

If there were some rules I would add next time:
- No war crimes allegations (or at least not by players, so no whining about bombing cities)
- Alliances must be public
- OR you cannot immediately come to the aid of an ally unless the alliance is public
I like the last 2 ideas, as for the first one I would say just don’t accuse people of war crimes left right and centre.Zaktty wrote:

I would say don’t god rp. People have been accusing people of spying on them for a bullshit excuse to invade - good example being USA invading Canada, literally no reason except god rp of bullshit Canadian spies or something like this. Maybe very small scale but no more than this.
I think that Casus Bellis can only be justified by something the receiver can control, for example patrolling planes or Spies. For example, if I'm playing as France, it would be unfair for Germany to say that a Frenchman carried out a terrorist attack in Berlin and war is imminent, because this was out of France's control and this is just BS. This makes the US declaration of war on Canada illegitimate as well, because it ruins the entire diplomatic aspect of the game. You could not put a foot wrong diplomatically for the whole game and still have somebody declare war on you because Monsieur Baguette blew up some random German Bratwursts in Munich
What am I supposed to do? Wait 17 years for that (also inactive) player to do something worth invading for? The war justifications are not the important part, they are just accusations that may or may not be true either way. They don’t matter that much to be honest. I also actually used Canadian forces that were moving through my country physically as the main excuse…SamPGS_17 wrote:

Alliances must be public? What would that change? People could just cheese it, join or leave an alliance in the middle of war and still have it be unknown tbh…
Should I host a new Global Political Summit?
Maybe in 1941?
To get involved in a defensive war with an ally, the alliance must be made public before the war is declared. I think this was in rules anyway.Carking the 6th wrote:

As for excuses for invasion, war justifications are actually a hugely important part of role play - that’s what differentiates it from just an organised HWW game. There should be real diplomacy not just excuses for a war you always wanted to wage.
