Minor nations Jugoslavia and Mongolia? Really?
Lets compare USA, Great Britain, Jugoslavia and Mongolia.
When Hitler attacked Soviet Union, Against USA and Great Britain it were no german divisions. When they came to Italy - it became 4 German divisions against them. When they came to Normandy - than 6 German divisions. In a same time against USSR it were 193 (ONE HUNDRED NINETY THREE) German divisions, plus German allies. For example in Stalingrad battle it were 6 armies of Axis, 2 Germans, and Italian, Romanian. Also USA sended materials for war to USSR as help, so-called land-lease, tripple less than for Great Britain, and much later, such as food, trucks, tanks, planes, some raw materials for industry, but just 2% (TWO PERCENTS) of used by USSR things for war, and mostly in the end of the war, not in the first hardest period, when it was much more nessessary.
In a same time Jugoslavian communists hold 12 German divisions. Mongolia sended for USSR the same amount of help as USA, but immediatelly, when it was needed, and for free. while USA wanted gold in return.
Conclusion: yes, Jugoslavia and Mongolia were much weaker countries, than Great Britain or USA, but for victory against nazism they did even more, so when we compare it in WW2, its not really fair to call the monor, while USA and Great Britain are not.

a large nation, torn by civil war, unified against a common enemy, nzi germany, a large industrial base means this country can throw units into a grinder endlessly till the enemy falls
Oh really? Civil war? It ended in 1922, and nostly it was so long because of invasion of 14 foreign countries, which were on a side of White Army, who fought against of Red Army. Hitler attacked USSR June 22, 1941. So already served in army 19-years old guys, who were born after civil war ended. throw units into a grinder endlessly? Reich controlled territory with human resources of around 400 millions, USSR with 189. Yes, not all the people could be called to german army, but they could be called for production of shells, tanks, guns, planes, etc. A the Soviet-German front, USSR lost 11 millions people, Germany lost 14 millions. Also Germans did genocide of civilians, so total Soviet losts are 27 millions. 1710 destroyed cities, 73 thousands destroyed villages, often burned with all the inhabitans. But it doesn`t considered by genocide even today. Seems Soviet people still considered as untermensch (under-human), not as human beings.
And the threat of the Soviet union looms over eastern Europe. A weak France must deal with a growing communist threat. How will Europe progress through these crucial next few years?
Oh really? What countries attacked USSR? French richest families are really were scared to lose their huge capitals, thats why the decided to keep the line "better Hitler than communists" and in Munich togather with Great Britain and Poland they gave Checkoslovakia with one of the biggest war industry in the world at the moment, to Hitler, and pressed on Checkoslovakia to not resist, while USSR was ready to attack Germany if Chechs will fight for their freedom.
