Mare Nostrum: the Mediterranean theatre

The year is 1941, and the resurgent Germany has control over most of Europe. The Maginot Line has been circumvented; only French colonies stand free. After decades of fighting amongst themselves, the Balkan states are either conquered, or too scared to oppose Germany. The bear has only just awoken, and is shaken by its inability to crush Finland. A massive war of Attrition dredges on in North Africa.

Rules-

No GM
Only post articles in the Newspaper. If you have a question or problem, please contact the RP admin through skype or messaging outside of the game.
Be respectful of the RP, others, and yourself.
No trolling.
This is a casual RP, although I expect posting nonetheless. Post often, and use good grammar. If you need something to write about, ask someone.
Be realistic. This includes not exploiting AI nations with right of way
Germany, be careful what you post. If necessary, use alternate history.
There will be suggested leaders for each nation. If you decide not to use those, use someone realistic.
No nukes.

The two factions can immediately start fighting, but can only take two provinces per day. It can be two for one country, one for each, ect. They can also use any other unit to fight, just stick to the province rule.

Each day will be a month.

(Germany and Italy must try to protect Vichy France. France gets all provinces conquered from Vichy France.)

(At any time, the allies may declare Turkey as an ally and move through the country, use air bases, ect. But this means that the other faction can take provinces from Turkey. The limit on how many still applies.)

(NPC)Spain-Francisco Franco

(As long as Gibraltar is not held by an ally, Germany and Italy may declare Spain as an ally and move through the country, use air bases, ect. But this means that the other faction can take provinces from Spain. The limit on how many still applies.)

(NPC)Iraq-Rashid Ali al-Gaylani

(In 1941, a coup overthrew the Iraqi government, which was pro-British. The british government, fearing that they might lose the oil supplies that the former government gave them, subsequently declared war on Iraq. At any time the British can invade Iraq to simulate this war. However, they can only take one province from Iraq. This doesn't count for the province limit.

Graf Zeppelin, 28 December 1936, and Sunk as a target ship on 16 August 1947

A Royal Victory

~Early in the morning, a rebel supply wagon convoy crosses through a densely wooded area. It has been going all night and the guards are tired~
“Steven, look awake. You never know when the Allah worshippers will attack. Ooh, the bushes are making noises! They're coming for you! Wait, what's that? They are actually making noises!”
“Shut up. Go run to your mother, now that you've woken me. Id prefer to st-”
~Steven never finishes his sentence as a spear goes through his chest, knocking him over. His friend stares in shock as men come screaming out of the bushes. He is kill in seconds. Two men standing to the side oversee the attack, but rush in to help as more guards arrive.~
“Charge! They will break and run, because of their cowardice. Fight, for your king!”
~The demoralized defenders fall quickly to the more alert royalists, although the fighting is still fierce. The final one falls to a sergeant who is in charge. Those captured are lined up quickly and brought before the sergeant.
“Sargeant, what should we do with them? Take them back?”
“Let to go and bind the rest to the wagons wheels naked. They might not make it away, but they are the enemy. And if they do, they will likely avoid the roads, and each other.”
~His soldiers laugh, and the prisoners hang their heads in shame. Once it is done, the soldiers leave the road for their horses, and ride hard for camp.~
Aftermath:The siege the wagons were headed to is broken when reinforcements surprise the rebel army camped outside the city walls, and the rebels lose many men, and the commander of their army is killed. Another step to a unified Hungary.
