We should have both slooooweeeer and fstr matches
0.5x Speed rounds
So as a on and off player of Call of War for several years I often saw them make faster and faster game rounds. However sometimes it is hard to login after a nights rest and see half your country taken over by motorized infantry while you were asleep. And especially with these faster rounds it gets even more precarious to be away for long.
I am proposing we have a special event come up that operates instead of a speed round that ends in sometimes less than a week, have an event that introduces a game round that operates at 0.5x speed.
This would allow for slow, tactical thinking and strategy and could attract different people in the playerbase to play. This help the people that feel it necessary to log in 17 times a day to be able to sit back and take their time and log in half as many times and help prevent burnout.
Thank you for your time -thebumblebeebo

do you really want the game to last a year?
I think this is a great idea! Slower rounds would definitely help players who canβt log in constantly, giving more time to plan and strategize without the stress of rapid game speed. It could attract people who want a more laid-back experience and prevent burnout for sure. Hope the devs consider it!
Weβre gonna get to Conflict of Nations level of slow
I like this idea too.
Perhaps 0.5 is too much, but 0.75 seem just right to me.
x1 is too slow probably 0.5 will take 1 years
Why would anyone want the game to be slower
Isn't it slow enough already?
Perhaps it would have been much better if the round had lasted a total of 4-5 hours.x25 is something like this. You come home from work, launch the map at such a speed, and you know that you have 4-5 hours of play ahead of you, where you calmly control the entire game.
So you want a super speed round?
Do do meth- I means math.
Call of War round last 60 days. 0.5x speed means doubling it. The round will take 120 days/4 months!

Oh
TERRIBLE IDEA.
The 1x maps are already incredibly slow.
If you lose half your country to a single fast unit, then you are not defending at all. People who don't leave at least 1 unit in their vulnerable cities deserve to lose half their country in half a day!
Thats what I was saying
There are some people out there(myself, and some people I have met) who have a 8 hour work day, then sleep for 8 hours a night. Which leaves only 8 hours to systematically check into call of war. This can often be the demise of your country while you sleep if the enemy has has units and has no life. I am merely proposing having an event map for 0.5 speed just to try it out first.BeerBelly wrote:

I see this as a matter of personal preferences.
If you can play 4-5hrs straight after a full day at work and enjoy it, go ahead and have fun.
I try to take advantage of my enemy's sleeping time, but feels a bit like cheating.
So i would like to have the option of playing a map where no one can do that.
If there is a big warning on the signup, only people interested in this kind of game would join.
On another note, perhaps an alternative would be to have a nightly freezing time.
Like, for 4-6 hours a day nothing would happen.
With this feature we could combine it with different time speeds and maybe even have a 10x game where people can actually sleep!
