Right now it's not planned, sorry. Also not sure if all features of 1.0 are even compatible anymore with new interfaces.

1.0 event mode?
Hey guys,
So I just returned after a year long hiatus and noticed a lot of things changed (2.0 graphics and stuff).
But, before I left (and after the 1.5 update release) Bytro would put on a 1.0 event round every month or so (at the time when I played they put on a 1.0 event of All Countries All In and a 1.0 event of the German/Japanese/free USA).
But from what I've seen now, this doesn't happen anymore.
So my question is: will there be any more of these 1.0 events? Or has the 1.0 code been just completely removed?
Please man, I just wanna play 1.0 World at War again

Just another question... couldn't you guys just reuse the old textures and interfaces for the 1.0 event modes? Like it isn't necessary to put the new textures in. 1.0 was fine as it is and (I think) this could save you work by doing this.

It is not only about the textures, but also lots of engine and backend related stuff which became incompatible over time (that users don't see).

It would still be a lot of fun to play the 1.0 version again.
I miss it, and would prefer the game mechanics.
Don't care about the UI, that can change, but the old game was more fun to play.
I miss the strategic aspect of different parts of the world being "war torn".
Industry was too expensive to rebuild, because of rares, which were RARE (cough, cough).
Also building advanced units only in your core.
Now it's just "whatevs, you can build anything anywhere".
Like Germany could build Tiger tanks in the rubble of Stalingrad, give me a break!
Or deciding up front to build commandos or paratroopers in your capital.
These things added strategic layers to the game that are missing now.
Coalitions are fun, don't get me wrong, but the rest of the changes.... not so much.

that's a shame, The events were supposed to be the thing that would connect the old version, and they were promised for the older players.

I wish I I was able to play 1.0. it seems interesting. Never played before
