Especially in large games you need to have a handle on how many provinces the enemy has so that you can find them late in the game.
In 1.5 you do not know if they have 1 or 10 or 40.
Clicking on the name will bring you to where their capital is, but that is it, otherwise it is hunt and go color blind trying to find them on the map.
