Yes, they used jets and tanks like the T-54, along with assault rifles.

So I had an idea.
Wouldn't it be cool to have a Six Day's War Map?
It would be basically a HWW Map that only includes the Arab/Israeli region. The game would last six days. The Arab states would be all in a fixed coalition with each other, while Israel is completely on its own. The reason I suggest it like this is because:
A) Historical Accuracy
B) The Arab states will have mainly militia as their main force as it is Historically Based, whereas Israel will have a high-quality modern military made up of professional career soldiers not just from Israel, but also from the US, Germany, France, Britain, etc.
The game would start with Israel at war with everyone else on the map (being the United Arab Republic, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Egypt and Jordan). Israel wins if it has retained all of its land that it has at the start of the game, but it can conquer foreign territories. The Arab Coalition wins if they have not.
Most of the Arab States would be Axis doctrine, but they could be any doctrine depending on the government in place at the start of the Six Day's War. Meanwhile Israel is Allied, however we all know foreign aid played a huge role in this war. Any units at the start of the game that are there as a result of foreign aid would be given the doctrine of the country that they come from, while any units from Israel or produced in Israel will be given the Allied Doctrine.
As for the West Bank, it would start the game on 25% morale and qualify as a Non-Core province, whereas all other territories will start on 70% unless there is another province which was also won in battle, which I'm sure there are. And yes, Gaza will be a major city.
Each country will have 5 cities each.
One thing I would also like to have in this game mode is a Civilian Population count. This will give the Arab states an edge, which will become apparent later. The civilian population is the actual civilian population of each country in 1967. You can bring the civilian population down by Terrorist Attacks (perpetrated by Spies), or bombing campaigns, etc. If the civilian population goes down, it will affect the province morale and soldiers morale (another thing I'd like in this game. For every ten percent below target morale the soldiers are at the start of the game, they lose a Hitpoint. Bytro, plz add soldier morale). The Arab states will have an advantage here as they will start with plenty of spies, who you can send on terrorist attacks or suicide bombings. Israel could also use this to their advantage with total war bombing campaigns, however.
So what do you guys think? I would love to hear your feedback

Which all had been absolutely refined since WWII, especially jets, missiles, and the tanks. They are far too advanced for a WWII setting in my opinion. I believe at one point I did suggest a new Bytro game that would take place during the Cold War or American Civil War. The Cold War was a whole different ballgame from anything before and after it.
Imagine a medieval Bytro Game...
spam light calvary moment
Though a medieval strategy game like CoW would def be cool
sure there're tons of games that fit this criteria but we are Bytro SIMPS, we only like bytro stuff

If anything the Arab countries were heavily militarised since before the 1948 (the first great Arab-israili war) And by 1967 the arab militaries were well equipped with soviet weaponry (Egypt specifically as the de facto head of the Arab coalition)
What happened was simply "surprise attack".
A "blitzkrieg" if you could say so but using the airforce instead of tanks. The Arabs were caught off guard and consequently lost their airbases and consequently their own airforce,
The collapse that follows was rather typical in any such scenario.
Similar to how Germany crippled the definitely not weak French and Polish armies. It was all a matter of good organization and lack of it on the other side.
Consequently a map set on that event wouldn't be feasible.
Note: as a country that for most of it history depended on extensive conscription for its military, Israel had a lot of so-called-In-game militia (besides a lot of real life militia).
It's the limited PROFESSIONAL armies on both sides that do the combat and actually succeed in it.

Plague mechanics be like:
cities get infected: shitty production, shitty construction time, anything produced are infected
units has a chance of getting infected: destroy 60% of the units, leave the remaining unit patheic and weak
Are you talking about a zombie map or the Russian Army?
Germany army, 1945
Fr*nch Army 1940
Italian army 1917
White Army 1921
Chinese armies 1937
Confederate Army 1865
1960's Africa would be fun!
