1967 Middle Eastern Map?
So I had an idea.
Wouldn't it be cool to have a Six Day's War Map?
It would be basically a HWW Map that only includes the Arab/Israeli region. The game would last six days. The Arab states would be all in a fixed coalition with each other, while Israel is completely on its own. The reason I suggest it like this is because:
A) Historical Accuracy
B) The Arab states will have mainly militia as their main force as it is Historically Based, whereas Israel will have a high-quality modern military made up of professional career soldiers not just from Israel, but also from the US, Germany, France, Britain, etc.
The game would start with Israel at war with everyone else on the map (being the United Arab Republic, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Egypt and Jordan). Israel wins if it has retained all of its land that it has at the start of the game, but it can conquer foreign territories. The Arab Coalition wins if they have not.
Most of the Arab States would be Axis doctrine, but they could be any doctrine depending on the government in place at the start of the Six Day's War. Meanwhile Israel is Allied, however we all know foreign aid played a huge role in this war. Any units at the start of the game that are there as a result of foreign aid would be given the doctrine of the country that they come from, while any units from Israel or produced in Israel will be given the Allied Doctrine.
As for the West Bank, it would start the game on 25% morale and qualify as a Non-Core province, whereas all other territories will start on 70% unless there is another province which was also won in battle, which I'm sure there are. And yes, Gaza will be a major city.
Each country will have 5 cities each.
One thing I would also like to have in this game mode is a Civilian Population count. This will give the Arab states an edge, which will become apparent later. The civilian population is the actual civilian population of each country in 1967. You can bring the civilian population down by Terrorist Attacks (perpetrated by Spies), or bombing campaigns, etc. If the civilian population goes down, it will affect the province morale and soldiers morale (another thing I'd like in this game. For every ten percent below target morale the soldiers are at the start of the game, they lose a Hitpoint. Bytro, plz add soldier morale). The Arab states will have an advantage here as they will start with plenty of spies, who you can send on terrorist attacks or suicide bombings. Israel could also use this to their advantage with total war bombing campaigns, however.
So what do you guys think? I would love to hear your feedback
