Discussion went off the scenario I was trying to explain. Raising a Flag then lowering invokes a 3 day cooldown despite not actually having a coalition or betraying anyone. I believe this scenario shouldn't invoke the 3 day cooldown (which I support, fully, for all the reasons discussed above.Steve_The_Tyke wrote:
I think 3 days is fine - except in one particular instance. If two nations have raised a coalition flag and one of them doesn't have anyone in their Coalition, then when that sole Nation lowers their flag, they are prevented from joining for 3 days but they haven't actually had a coalition nor are they betraying anyone - it basically was a none existant coalition, or an aspiration to be leader of a Coalition. Happened recently to me. That said, the relaxation on trading rules means this is not as damaging as it was beforehand.
I also agree that 3 actual days is too long, especially for speed games.
Three actual days in a 6x speed game equals 18 game days, which is far too long.
Why not make it 3-game days?
maybe like a day and a half or 2 days
In Speed games the values are adjusted and are shorter.Supreme Allied Condista wrote:
