I'm currently involved in my first Alls In 1939 Historical Map, which has 73 players- the map with the most players I ever played. It's going well after 9 days- my 4 player coalition and 2 others in the running. But Just to check the newspaper and diplomacy tabs takes a good 10-15 minutes. I imagine that for a 500 player map those tasks could take me an hour or more. But if people would like to play each other in a 500 map, that's OK with me ...
500 Player Match
Bytro has multiple games all fairly similar to call of war, set in the modern, ww1, and ww2 periods. In one of them, (Supremacy 1914), there are maps for 500 players. It is also on browser like Call of War. If Bytro is able to implement this in their other game, I would hope it would be able to come to Call of War, since I prefer the gameplay of Call of war over Supremay 1914, but would like this 500 player map implemented in Call of war. It would be really cool as a huge event, and would be extremely enjoyable in my opinion. Thanks for reading, here is an image of the Supremacy 1914 500 player map down below.

(Kinda like if the 50 player America or Asia maps were applied to every continent and made into 1 large round)
EDIT: It seems as if bytro can simply port that map and/or engine into Call of war. The only hard part would be finding names for all the regions.

I would LOVE a 500 player match. I think on some other thread a few years old they said that they removed huge maps like these because they were lagging and glitching often.
On browser the Supremacy 1914, 500 player map works fine (atleast in 2020), so maybe they might be able to implement it?
yea it wld be awesome- js imagine the gold reward u get if you winRiverWolf74 wrote:

They tried a 200 player one once. It had a few bugs I think.
yeah it was lagging for many people I thinkDoctorDR1 wrote:

When was this? I have been playing for afew months but never saw this.
I have not played it either but saw a 200 player map mentioned in a thread a few years old...so yeah I have been playing for almost a year but have never seen this tooChunkyJew wrote:

hopefully it can be implemented now with advancements by bytro in tech
It was a couple of years ago.
well ya see the map is ww1. They will have to make it so that it is related to ww2. The name of call of war clear says call of war ww2
Yes I know, they could probably find names for all the places. Even if they can't make a 500 player map, they already have the basis for a 250 player round (5 of the 50 player continental matches)
But they could just make the map but make it ww2 related, they wouldn't have to change a lot...after all world at war isn't really historical either...and could also be used as a modern day map.GeneralAumSum wrote:

I don't believe that any of the big maps over the 73-nation Alls In resembles WW2 (which is derived from the 25-nation 39 Historical).RiverWolf74 wrote:

The 260 player map experiment was nearly 2 years ago at this point. Sadly the size and complexity of the map caused severe lag both in the server and the userβs devices.
I am optimistic that this map can be worked on again in the future.

It was a world map with 260 playable countries, plus minor AI countries.
I donβt have any pictures of it.

500 multiplayer map in COW, not only would this be anarchy, I would be surprised if the gaming directors would be able to come up with all the different names for provinces, especially in Russia, Australia, NZ & Canada.
A 500 player map would be anarchy, the game would have technical issues, loading times..etc...
If any map improvements could be made, it would be to make sure of Cold War map details and to not make the same mistakes that Conflict has.
A Korea & Vietnam era COW map should be implemented..Any thoughts.

I think Bytro could just add countries and nations that would seem to fit in with the time period (name, region) It doesn't necessarily have to be irl, this game is kinda alternate history after all.
Also I think Korea and Vietnam maps would be a great 1 vs 1 style map, kind'ave like the Dunkirk event with only the british and Germans being playable. Great Idea!
I think that these issues pointed out by Vorlon negate the idea of larger maps in the near term ...VorlonFCW wrote:
