I disagree with the unit part. I am eating, that was from a quickscan I will look more later.
Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!
You guys remember that wheel thing on S1914? Well, I was checking S1914 out and it struck me that despite so many people originally hating the idea, it soon became a rather liked feature.
Now, I was thinking we should have our own version: but instead of 'Support our troops' we should have 'Lend-Lease wheel' to fit our WW2 setting.
It works on the same system as the S1914 version, allowing you go get free spins, and the amounts of winnable resources increasing each day you spin- who's going to turn down free oil?
However, due to our lack of 'Blue prints' (the only thing I hated) I believe you should be randomly given a unit from a random tech tree- apart from the Secret tree as I could see that being very annoying. This unit will be equal to its current level unlocked on your tech tree, so if you have a level one Sub, you're gonna get a level one sub at the closest naval base to your capital. Same goes for everything else, it spawns at your capital. However, if you are given a unit you haven't unlocked, it will be standard level one.
Now, the coding will need to be pretty good, in order to work out a balance. You don't want to be engaged by a Heavy tank on day 8 just because someone got lucky, the odds per unit would need to be balanced against it's power.
So, as usual, good/bad and improvements.

Now, instead of units, we could get intel. How does that sound? We would get, say, all the info on one province.
Don't like any of your ideas. Don't like TankBuster's because we could get things like battlsehips as early as day 1, and that is a clear advantage. And intel no, because it simply wouldn't be fair. One doesn't do diversive and confusive movements to distract the enemy who doesn't spend a buck on spies so that guy can get lucky and find out we only have 1 troops and overrun the country. I like the idea of having it, but instead of blueprints maybe it should be some kind of prize that reduces the research time of one the things you're researching by 50%. I don't know, open for ideas!
Good lord no! Not the wheel.
I highly disagree, I love the wheel. I think it is only the staff that don't like the wheel.
Actually it was about 75% of the veteran players that hated the wheel.......100% back when it gave out units.
The wheel takes some of the strategy out of the game.
It gave out units? Thats terrible. I don't see how it could remove strategy though. An immersive element, yes, but strategy, how?
By giving out resources.
Well I think they should have it solely for speed boosts on research, building, production, etc. Maybe even some goldJaws wrote:

Generally wheels such as this get added to games when interest flags....this is still a (very) young game, so there's no real need for one at this time.
I see your point. It doesn't really give out much resources though, I don't think I have gotten more than 500.
if you ask me the wheel is the point that they clearly ran out of ideas.
WHERE ARE MY HORSES, DARN IT! IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE THE WEST FRONT NOT THE SOUTH!
Oh, okay. I hope they don't reach a point that they start putting in crap like that when suggestions are made every week. I want the wheel but if they add it when they run out of ideas, it is clear they never read the forums, never mind our ideas.
The wheel is a complete fail in my part.
The devs want to play "wheel of fortune" than adding war horses in the game or other good ideas in the forum.
Yes. The only good thing is the HC, which I love to get.
Totally agree.Jaws wrote:

NOT THE WHEEL.
I guess we can put this idea in "Don't speak of this, ever!" folder
