A measure to control Trolls
Trolls~The problems
Any call of war player who has used the Global chat of any server for at least 1 time knows how frequent and annoying trolls are. There are a hell lot of them in The English server specifically. Mods do their best to keep them under control still they manage to find out certain time to troll.
What happens many times is that a mod bans a troll and the troll sits back for a while and when the moderator leaves they launch their multi accounts. What I got to know is that one can make an infinite amount of accounts. The rule is 1 account per IP address which is never followed by the "rebels". How can this be avoided?
Solution
Solution is quite simple, Bytro have to update their registration system in such a way that you need to Verify your Email id just like the way you need to do it in the forums.
trolls will give up eventually. They are underage minors. They can't keep on spamming Email ids at least. permanent ban from the mods + this system might end the troll problem forever.

If you ignore the troll(s), they wonβt affect you. If they canβt affect you, they will give up and go elsewhere. So, ignore.
I have another solution. All we have to do is to increase the limit to access the chat. I.e. the player needs to be at least LV2 to use the chat. The trolls cannot spam continually and would eventually give up.
Yeah sounds good
Why use chat when there's nothing but troll? Use when they leave.
Myself, I'd be in favour of abolishing the chat altogether as it stands. The actual good discussion is few and far between what with people who just randomly spam, and the in-game messaging and forum between them have much the same function.
If we must keep it, I'd suggest making something you actively have to sign up for (like the forums) to add one extra hurdle for trolls to jump over.
Is this actually enforced? Will the site block your attempt to sign up if it recognises your IP from a previous account? Because if not, that combined with a different email being asked for each account could do the trick. (Although you'd also run into problems with people in the same household, and there isn't much you can do to add allowances for that that can't be circumvented. If this isn't enforced, presumably that's why.)The Mister Class wrote:

Pan-Asian is a better doctrine than Axis when played correctly and you cannot change my mind.

Its not enforced by the site. In most cases it is just a rule on paper. But in a game like this it should be applies. I have seen a guy join with 5 accounts in a WaW. He got banned though.Lady Aragosta wrote:

I agree with you solution to the troll issue.
I'm not sure how they'd manage people from the same household, as it's not really reasonable to expect them to share an account (especially if they want to play against each other). The Mister Class wrote:

Having some sort of elaborate confirmation system in which both people - and their emails - have to respond multiple times before a second account from the same IP is created wouldn't solve the problem entirely, but it would make spam-accounters less likely to go through all that hassle.

Well Iβve used this chat for a long time. Through global chat was how I managed to actually find an alliance and even get to the forums. While currently the chat is not in a good state it is or at least was how many people actually got into this games community. But maybe Iβm only thinking about my own story and being sentimental, idk lol.Lady Aragosta wrote:

I agree, even tho email is very easy to step to get pass for anyone.... BUT for a 12 yeas olds who arent experienced enough with the strategies ... Ig it will work just fine by making the process of having a new acount one step longer
they need to fix the accidental ban glitch. I hate waking up everday and seeing I've been banned from the spanish server for 'trolling'.
I hate trolls. Yuck!

They already have email verification. But yeah, maybe we need, at least Level 10 rank requirement to prevent obnoxious noobs/multis from accessing chat.Imperialist San arta wrote:
