yes, as long as it was a ranked game
Abandon games
Hello, if all but one active player abandons a map, and the last player votes to end the game, does the last player get the gold?

do you get gold from unanked games?
never
and nothing you do in an unranked game counts towards leveling up, achievements, wins, etc. In other words, it doesnt count towards any of your stats.
damn
Example.
I was playing an official Europe Road to War game. The game went 54 days. However, basically everyone bailed after a few days. In this case Germany and Russia attacked me (Sweden). My teammates had already quit. When I destroyed both of the attackers they quit. Like on day 10 I was the only player.
I got the message that X number of days remained and I was the sole player. Should I have just called the game then? Instead I spent a week or so 'winning' against the computer opponent.
yes, you should have retired before the ranking period endedTibbles wrote:

We just had a thread about this the other day

Thanks,
How do I end a round if I am the sole player and its not in news to retire? Apparently I am the host.
Oh dang it. There was one game which I retired 2 days after the ranking period ended. However, it gave me the winning gold. How does that work?VorlonFCW wrote:

Updating:
There seems to be some delay in the achievements, but otherwise, if the map was ranked once, you get the rewards you've earned, as it's right, even when finish the map after end of the ranking period.
Completed a pacific-map 2 days ago on day 758, which I used long time as a test-map, immediately received gold reward and victory for the statistic, and the achievements "Admiral of the Pacific" and "Lone Wolf" were credited today.
Possible limitation:
The ranking period was of course long ended, but at the end of the map we were still 2 players active.
Therefore, I can not say whether it is also behaving like this when someone end up only alone active ..
.. but it should be so and it would be correct because it may not be, that e.g. someone, who has to fight against many or hard enemies and therefore needs longer to gain victory receives no reward, while on the other hand someone who has weak opponents or whose opponents flee the map early, gets the rewards without much effort as like a present.

There are two different "ends" to the ranking period.Little Racoon wrote:

If you are the only active player left the game is only ranked for 14 more days, and I think that retiring after that will cause no reward.

However, this drives people to attack more, so it makes the game more fun.Restrisiko wrote:

Also, thanks for the info. I really appreciate that.
