Ability to choose level of produced unit in 1.5

I'm surprised that this didn't get more attention. I was writing an identical post when I saw this.

Agree 100%. It's tough late game when you capture new territories and the troop factories are low level. Also, sometimes the prime troops are great for "tip of the spear", but more than you need elsewhere.

Everything else (costs, time, etc.) can stay the same, just the option of what you want would be fantastic.

Didn't they used to have this in 1.5?

The thing was higher level units costed more

I like this idea, and that is a rare event.

This would be an interesting idea. The ability to switch to outdated equipment would work. An as stated before me sometimes you need quick cheap units

You have not idea how abusive can some gold user can be... With your Idea it will be 3 times cheaper for them...

The problem is that you could skip DAYS of production by building a level 1 unit then upgrading it to max level in 4 hours and half.

I kind of already do that. I produce low level units for a while and then don't upgrade until I have maxed out tech

I'm against this, could be abused big time. There's nothing wrong with the current system either, jesus I swear some people complain about anything.
