About an error in the diference of Militia and Infantery
•
In my opinion Militia should be less expensive than Infantery when you need reseach, because , Infantery has more power and equipament; Milita have a simple equipament, therefore this type of unit has to cheaper in this aspect.
At other, I think is good point see Infantery that demore more time in create and produce, also the cost for reseach Infantery are good; but as I say before, when you produce,we have that error, which makes one player would never go through your head create this units becase it is more expensive to produce and in battle is weaker than its pair of land.
I hope that i wrote serve something.
Greetings!!!

Hi,
Infantry takes more training and requires more upgrades to build. And even though they cost less manpower their goods and Money cost are higher to reflect that they are better equipped and trained.
For example:
You can build the first level Barracks in 2 min, and then the Militia without anymore expense.
However to build an infantry unit it takes a barracks and a factory to be built in a province.
The assumption is that the infantry is better trained and equipped so there are less men necessary to fight, while the Militia are basically recruited on the spot with no training.
Militia costs:
Goods = 250
Manpower = 1500
Money = 500
Infantry costs:
Goods = 500
Manpower = 1250
Money = 750
So if you disregard the Manpower cost Infantry are more expensive all around, not to mention better overall units.
Thanks.

Think like this for moment if you will, Militia have a minimum or organization and training, where normal infantry are trained to be efficient and ration food and conserve ammo, militia have no such training and burn through resources faster, the high grain consumption simulates this.

Do they shoot wheat or what?

Well they eat food and wont ration like professional infantry so higher food use, ammo isn't a factor in the game but you can predict the drain on any other things they would use, I was just making a point of the inefficient nature of militia.

Yes, i understand and compart your opinion in you say, but the diferences are relatively small (except industrial complex) when you are in the middle of the game.
If I would prepare for a invasion or a defence in the day 40 (for example), this extra cost that the infantery have, my economy will not feel due the high productivity that it has; and the difference of time produce is not really a difference.
ITs in this moment when I see that milita is not necesary any more being that i have recouses and a lot of many Industrial complex to produce Infantery; and in the campaign map, milita is more weak (good), but his cost of daily upkeep are more high. in this respect Milita is defeat, take whoever possesses will feel that militates in the middle game it is no longer necesary.
Sorry if you donT understand the message ,but english isnT my oficial languague.
Thank for write!!!

Perhaps in that case we need an option to disband units, like militia.
