Yes from Naval units, no from Non- AA units.
Air Planes take Damage from non AA and Naval Units Poll
This to me should be changed since i love using Planes but i have the issue for any nation producing them and the resource shortages it causes. Since they die so easily.

It should just get nerfed, not removed.

I do not understand the voting alternatives given in the poll above. However, I think if anything, aircraft are overpowered. I sank 9 cruisers, 7 destroyers and 11 submarines with 6 naval bombers and only lost 1 nav (along with a couple of interceptors). My 7 tactical bombers have in recent days been wiping out stacks of half a dozen or more mostly infantry stacks in no more than 3 or 4 attacks, with minimal damage to the planes. So planes look really powerful to me at this stage. In which case, making them even more powerful by removing AA from ground units doesn't sound like a good idea.
Well, aircraft fly pretty high so they are pretty hard to shoot down when you are not up amongst them. Maybe if people tried fighters, they wouldn't be so OP.

You must have really upgraded Naval Bombers facing lower upgrade naval units. Every time i use naval bombers id get lucky destroying 1 destroyer before losing 2 naval bombers. If their the same level its hard to actually destroy the enemy units. The alternatives in the Poll are as said with the main Question: Should Airplanes take damage from non AA units or Naval units. Theirs the simple No they shouldn't change answer. The Simple Yes answer they should be changed to where they take only damage from Fighters, Anti-Aircraft guns and Naval units. The Yes and No answer is composed of Yes it should be changed but only nerfed not completely got rid of.Joe Bentleigh wrote:

if were talking about bombers, then i agree but on the condition that the bombers will not become a God-like unit, because even if we wanted it the devs will focus on the balance of the game.

To be fair, I underestimated the number of aircraft I lost, because I used some gold to repair the naval bombers at the outset. I think without the gold I probably would have lost 6 or 7 aircraft. But when you compare that to the number of units I sank - 27 - it still makes naval bombers a very formidable and arguably overpowered unit.Emperor Lelouch wrote:

But here is something I do think needs rebalancing - I actually lost more aircraft to the subs than I did to the surface ships, even though the subs had a crummy little AA firepower of only 0.7, compared to the cruisers' AA of 4 and destroyers' AA of 2. The reason is because naval bomber attack factor is radically reduced by a factor of 2.5 when attacking subs, which means the bombers have to go back again and again to sink a sub when they can sink a surface ship much faster. So the subs end up getting a lot more shots at the bombers and doing way more damage than they historically (or reasonably) should.
I should also add in response to your other comment that my initial sinkings of cruisers and destroyers was done with level 1 or 2 nav bombers as I had to rush them into service the minute I built them. Later, when attacking the subs, I was attacking level 1 subs with level 3 nav bombers but still lost 4 aircraft. So I do think sub AA is overpowered. No way you should be shooting down so many aircraft with a puny 0.7 AA.
you have to ask, how can a sub down a bomber? i have not heard of anything like that, it does not matter if this is a game or not a sub cant down an aircraft, like how?
i suggest to remove the AA of the sub entirely, and increase the AA value of Destroyers and Cruisers 1 to 1.5 respectively, and increase 1 to NB value against sub.
I don't care what you guys think but a sub cannot down a bomber, a sub underwater down a bomber high from the air, i don't really know what the devs did to think like this but come on.

This represents the fact that subs can carry anti-air guns or machine guns to fend off aircraft, also the fact that torpedo bombers needed to fly low and slow to drop the ordnance. Submarines also need to surface, since they ran on diesel and could be regarded more as surface ships that could go underwater for some time than as solely underwater craft.V1nd1cat0r wrote:

Obviously he hasn't read much on subs. At the start of WWII German subs usually had more howitzers on deck rather than AA guns. This was completely reversed by the end of WWII, with a subs deck bristling with MG's pointed skyward. The subs below are arranged in order of use.
Type VIIC U-boat on deck armament - 1x 8.8 cm gun, 1x 2 cm AA gun
Type IXB U-boat on deck armament - 1x 10.5 cm AA gun, 1x 3.7 cm AA gun, 1x 2 cm AA gun
Type XXI U-boat on deck armament - 4x 3 cm AA gun/4x 2 cm AA gun

It's still very strange he still lose bombers againts a value of .7

It is, yes. In fact, it is ridiculous. Unless the sub has the best damn captain the world has ever seen, he should have been sunk.

Well...by the end of the day, something as ridiculous as this won't be reason out even with historical record, subs sink more ships than then they down planes with is of course zero.
Still though, even if half of my brain is dead I won't add Anti-Air on a sub especially if there role is ship killing I will add a deck gun instead, more practical and realistic.

I get where your coming from, but they added more AA's because planes kept sinking them. Torpedos were what were mainly used for anti-ship duties.
