Allow received diplomatic messages and newspaper articles to be copied

Allowing received diplomatic messages, and newspaper articles, to be copied is a critical issue for those players, that do not speak English.

In 4 games I've played, I have already encountered 2 players, that did not speak fluent English - one have already lost, most likely because of this (instead of sharing victory); another one is just being eliminated, likely for the same reason.

Diplomacy plays a huge part in this game, and not being able to parley is a major handicap. Without a possibility to easily copy/paste received messages (and to a lesser degree newspaper articles) into Google Translator, players who don't speak decent English are at a distinctly worse position from the very start.

That's why I believe, that this is a critical issue, that should be treated as high priority fix, even though technically it's not a bug (I see it however as a serious design oversight).

Fully agree, in the spirit of keeping a team game going and allowing strategic planning, we need either a translate button, or allow copy and past.

Messages can be copied - just press forward instead of reply;)

Well, my wrong, I've missed this option - you are perfectly right, they can be copied in such way. I hope, that on other chats and forums, this info is shared widely.

So, indeed, it's not as critical, as I initially thought it to be, but I still believe, that allowing them to be copied directly, like normal chat messages, would be the best way to ensure, that those who need to translate, will easily find a way to do so.

I understand this was suggested over 4 months ago, but I believe this still bears major relevance today. Whenever I want to share links to my allies (for battle plans & intel maps) they have a hard time getting access to it. I believe in addition to allowing copy & paste, there should also be URL support so links can be clicked with ease like it is on the forums.

Good suggestion.

I agree with this. I once played a game where my friend was a talker, and was Spanish, so I had to translate it in Google Translate. It took forever due to the lack of Ctrl + C.
