AHEM......I have a question...Why is the state known as Montana a playable nation but NOT Georgia? During 1942 Montana had a population of 518,000 while Georgia had a population of 3.209 million. During this time Georgia had a larger population then both Florida and Montana.....yet these two states are available to play while Georgia is unavailable to play. SO why is Georgia is unavailable when states like Montana are available please tell me that I am not the only person thinking about this.

To be fair, Montana is twice as large, but still you have a fair point. Considering the states around it, it would have fit right in. The issue I assume would be balancing. If Georgia was a playable nation, it would force nations to fight each other earlier on, while in most other areas, you would typically be eliminating the unplayable nations first. If anything is to be done, I think it should be a swap between Georgia and South Carolina. Georgia is twice the area, plus South Carolina seems awkwardly crowded in that small area. But that would put Florida in a tight spot. The best idea in my perspective is to leave it alone.

I just felt so annoyed about this....cause Georgia was fairly important....while the state of Montana was nothing back then and worse of all Montana is split in two while Georgia isn't playable
and I dont think that it will ever change but I hope that they make Georgia playable but they will more likey never do that....but I can hope.

the 50 player map is based on geographical territories. Many of the most important states during the Civil war were either clumped up or left unplayable because if their size. I agree that the main objective should have been historical accuracy, but that would have made the map very lopsided. notice that this time, Canada is larger than America, the same way it is geographically.

This has nothing to do with population or significance. If it did, you would be right. But it is based on geographical locations. Countries need to have minimum 1 AI next to them, at least at the start of the game. This is therefore why Georgia is unavailable : it needs to be an AI for game balance.

Yes I know that the developers needed to make sure that there are an AI near by every country and yes I know that population shouldn't be a factor......but it kinda is cause a state like Georgia realistically would mop the floor against a state like Montana....
