Anonymous Articles for High Command Members
Back in the 1.0 days I remember we were able to create news articles anonymously. But then some jerk ruined it for everyone. But I think that they should bring back anonymous articles as a high command perk. From my experience, people who buy high command tend to be more "serious" gamers who won't abuse these functions like regular players would. Also, it would be another way to get people to buy high command. IIRC conflict of nations has anonymous articles as a premium feature, so why not cow?

Yea it was a particular incident. Happened just before i quit for a couple years. Apparently someone on the forum was in the same game with the guy, forgot who thoTalvisota wrote:

Someone was apparently using anonymous articles to post large amounts of zalgo text. It got so bad that it crashed the server for everyone.Talvisota wrote:

That would give High Command an advantage over normal players in a way that Normal players could not replicate no matter how active- something that high command is opposed to. Features of high command have to be possible to replicate with enough activity.

It wasn't because of a server crash; those messages were only "anonymous" to fellow players, not to Bytro staff. Large text amounts could crash the server on identified messages as well.
As I recall, it was dicontinued mainly because all kinds of trolls jumped on it and ruined gaming experiences for players. It is very easy to scream for all jews to go to the gas chambers, and modding staff really can't watch all games... when you know who says it, you can actually go at him and kill him if you want.

Yep. Usually if I see someone being racist, using slurs, drawing swastikas with emojis etc, it's a sign that they have no clue how to play the game and a green light to attack lol
