Antarctica design flaw

PROLOGUE (ofc added afterwards):

Please, @Bytro Labs staff, do NOT answer to this post, because I do not want to hear your spin-doctoring on how you 'improve' the game, because you are not.

Ultimately, you will be running on fly-by, phone playing 12yr olds, hopping to the next game in a week, which COW can never compete with, because no matter how much you dumbify the game, it will still be to complicated and slow.

Ofc, you own it and can do whatever you want, but save the bull crap sales story for the 12yr olds and ant-brained.

You should all go into politics, bc this downgrading has an end....when you have no real players left.

In politics, on the other hand, you can keep on failing and still get paid.

@Geden

The Metal surplus was supposedly addressed (so you said), but when I jumped into the Antarctica map to check, I got Spain... and...

Guess what?

Starting with 1 Oil city, 2 Metal and 2 Food.

Main shortage thus still is Oil, Oil and ... Oil.

Wait ....did I mention Oil already?

Just in case: OIL !!

Then, to add insult to injury, the nearest AI-HQ (Wotan), naturally a main prize to rob, is producing 30k+ of ..... friggin' Metal!!

And 4 of 8 cities around it produce .... MORE friggin' ... Metal!!!

So, I am going MENTAL over this useless mega-supply of friggin' METAL!

I now have to go on a campaign to occupy neighbour country's cities, giving a tiny little bit of Oil only.

How is this balanced, when other countries are close to an AI-HQ which produces OIL????

1 AI-HQ which I spotted, like of Corps Vergeltung on this map, produces close to 30k Oil, which equals like ....what?.... 15 Oil cities of players??? And the loot when taking it...

So, I am like.... WTF???

What are you guys thinking?

----------------------------------

PS: thinking this over ... or overthinking this:

We all know Bytro is not trying to challenge players, so, that is not the reason for this idiotic situation on maps.

I mean, if that were the case, Bytro wouldn't be dumbifying the game continuously with downgrades, wouldn't it?

You bunch of 'smarty pants' ... you anticipated I would go check on your metal 'balancing act', right?

So, methinks Bytro designed this map solely to annoy me more.

Am I right?

I am, yes?

I mean, thát must be the reason...because if this is nót so ... thát would be truly awkward.

because, then you must be copying Monty Python's 'How to annoy people' perfectly ... and you are delibertely trying to frustrate players, which would be suicide.

So, if you are truly just trying to get rid of your players, why then not just close the company or stop publishing this game?

That would be less aggravating for everyone how loved this game and Bytro for it (...note the past tense).

--------------

Edit on status hours later:

Cash = 55k ... and nothing to buy but ... friggin' Metal!!!

Manpower = 503 on stock; producing 637/hr

Food = 1300 on stock; producing 1200/hr

Metal = 10k (say: T E N T H O U S A N D) still on stock after selling tonnes; producing 1400/hr w/o investments

Oil = 0.9k on stock; producing 850/hr after heavy investing in it.

In short: the game is at at a complete standstill due to Oil shortage and mega Metal surplus.

Nothing to do, but risky attacks or sitting still.

Your 'balancing act' - even after 'close monitoring' of the litany of complaints upon your 'Resources ruined' downgrade - seems to be a failure....

Thát is 'emersion breaking'!

PPS:

I don't believe a word of the KPI's showing good results.

For a fact, I am shoe size 44; Joe average, so to say.

You know I am spending on this game and I very recently spend on a nice bundle. Not because you 'improved' the game, but because my ego was hurt and I wanted to correct my mistakes, though ultimately decided to not even spent my acquisions in that game and was satisfied with 2nd place in good and fun game.

These recent downgrades, however, only make me (a Joe A.) doubt whether I should spent another penny next year in support of a game which is hopelessly failing in its purpose, which is: being fun to play.

And when 'simple me' thinks of it that way, 99% of your real players are thinking this too.

RSS Status this evening:

Metal surplus remains.

Cash = 15.000; producing 5.350/hr

Manpower = 1.100 on stock; producing 932/hr

Food = 3.800 on stock; producing 2.100/hr after some extra investments.

Oil = 2.300 on stock; producing 1.450/hr; continuously investing in.

Metal, however:

Metal = 14.000 (say: F O U R T E E N T H O U S A N D); producing 1.640/hr w/o investments; luckily today I can sell at 6.x, buying back stuff at over 3x the price as long as it lasts.

I am using Metal; a lot even. For ACs, Arty, Recruitment, Industry etc.

We - your clients: the players; in case you forgot - used to struggle with Goods and Rares, but it left us choices.

You would switch to other units.

That is not an option now, especially with about 90% of units being obsolete and only fun to produce, when you have a surplus.

Now - after the 'Resources ruined' downgrade - everything goes to 4 types of units: AC, (SP)Artillerie, (SP)AA and some Fly Boys. Anything else is a waste. (Imagine still producing Tanks... some do, though :tumbleweed: )

So ....

What is the purpose of this overload of friggin' Metal???

Why are again 4 of 5 cities around Ultima Thule (Oil) to my Southwest all ... giving Metal???

WAIT!!! Don't answer that @Bytro Labs. No need to spin this utter and complete failure into an ... 'improvement'.

Absolutely going MENTAL over this useless mega-supply of friggin' METAL!

Totally 'emersion breaking'... bc this once was a good and well balanced game.

I encountered a similar issue in a HWW map, which I complained about in this thread here.
