Anti-cheat

I believe the default option for anti-cheat should be 'yes'.

There is a flood of non-ranked games in the servers now, which nobody is joining. The trend I am seeing is players not wanting to play unranked.

By making anti-cheat 'yes' by default, it will allow players to create games normally as before.

The real question is why is it not yes?

It's possible it was just an oversight.

Could be. Still, is it not like the way you suggested in S1914?

I have never really played S1914

Good observation! anti-cheat is for class groups or "brothers" to play and have fun without making IP conflicts, so it's an extra feature that must be in -anti cheat= "YES"-

It wasn't a goodbye, only a see you later.

Read it carefully.

This is the default setting.

It basically means: Anti-Cheat enabled: No

The setting should be Anti-Cheat enabled: Yes

I'd also add that the fact there are so many disabled anti-cheat rounds now is proof that the round spamming is done by ignorant users who are a waste on server resources. Could even be bots or competitors trying to drag the site down (like the forum spamming and possible DDOSing on Sunday). I personally think round creation should be left to high command or server generated per map as needed. Would certainly fix the issue many people have of ending up in unpopulated rounds.

I have mixed feelings about that. It's good to have servers created by individuals. Free players often become High Command, and it's better to have potential 'customers' that stay, rather than limiting everything free players can do.

I think it's right as it is - that the default option for anti-cheat is 'no' - harms nothing, as mapmaker to read the news, or at least to take a closer look to the side where the maps be created.

Who do not, has certainly also not thought about joining an already existing map - and who blindly creates new maps should not get counted any points.

The fact is, if you have 90% servers with anti-cheat disabled, the more people we'll have creating multiple accounts. They'll then wolfpack against new players that join those maps not knowing the ropes, and get destroyed quickly.

I don't think it's a good game format to introduce new players too.

New players might do that, but they won't lose stats and they will learn. The upside for the default "No" is it allows one to avoid the "spam games".

...and the new players always start on a "system started map" - and who wants to join another map can immediately see whether is set anti-cheat. (...and find out what it means, if he's really interested)

So thereby it is even easier to identify "bad" maps. (...or "bad" creators)

It's a lot of people's opinions the tutorial should not be mixed with veteran players...

Sometimes we are able to genuinely help new players, but usually I see 21 new players with 1 veteran just preying on them all.

The anti-cheat system is flawed. Although it may discourage some people, if you really want to cheat you can easily get around it, if I am right on how it works.

I would agree, but what about RPers and people who want to play with friends?
